4k is great. Great great sound. Love it!!!!!!!!!!¡!

I bought this to replace my 10 year old Samsung Blu-ray player. Its a great device works great with my Sony 4K TV. I read some Amazon reviews which said that this device was not manufactured well with a feeling of plastic and cheapness. I don't see or feel any of that and even though its still very new, it has all the options and quality I need. I am more enthused now then when I researched. Lets see if this feeling continues over the years I plan to use...

It plays a good picture and the Dolby Vision is a noticeable improvement... just remember to turn it on when watching UHD movies.

The Sony 4K DVD Player does well with my 4K projector. The experience is a whole different level than regular DVD players.

This player has EXCELLENT audio and video qualities. It even offers quick access to Youtube and even Netflix. One very important tip, you should go into the settings options and play around with the audio settings. If you only use the default setting, it may not be the best settings for your setup. So spend a few minutes in the settings menus, especially to change around the audio options.

I love the picture and it goes with my tv great. Easy to use. I had problems with the older version, but this one has been great.

This is a very good 4k player. I got it for the dolby vision.

Picture quality in 4K looks good on my LG Oled 65inch tv. But this is a glitchy Player. They have to be force rebooted when they freeze up. That gets very annoying if it’s in a cabinet and the plug isn’t easily accessible. I bought 2. One for myself and one for my wife’s parents. Both have the same issue. Other than that, I’m pleased.

Great purchase. Easy use. Awesome picture!streaming option is good for dolby atmos content. Wifi not used.

Failed after 54 weeks and only about 30 discs - used for SACD/DVD-A primarily). Sony said that was just too bad and wouldn't pay to fix. Interface is dated and streaming is limited to Netflix basically. Won't be buying another from Sony.

I purchased this because I upgraded to a full 4K Dolby Atmos video/audio system. I am an audiophile and have a lot of hi-res on DVD-Audio, SACD, and Flac files etc. This Sony can handle pretty much anything including MKV Video. Some of the more expensive competitors (Panasonic) can’t do this which is why I went this route. Very happy with it and highly recommended.

Been using this for about a year now and it's exceeded my expectations. Picture and sound quality are awesome. I was drawn to the excellent build quality and solid chassis unlike some cheaper "plastic-y" alternatives from other brands. It also plays all discs (movies and music) I've thrown at it. Price is right for the features and build quality. I would definitely purchase again.
