This is the best 4K UHD blu ray player to get! Has everything you could want! Has HDR & HDR 10 & Dolby vision & Dolby Atmos, has a amazing upscale to 4K setting! Set it to Auto 2 in 4K upscale, makes DVDs & regular blu rays look absolutely best they can & 4K discs are absolutely amazing

We bought this new 4K Blu-ray player to go with our Smart TV, and play the new Top Gun Maverick movie with the Bose system full blast. We like being able to play our prior 3K DVDs with the improved sound. This is a great player!

Wanted an upgrade to my Sony Blu-Ray and this Sony UBP-X800M2 does the trick. I played a 4k Blu Ray disc and with the Sony sound system it was so enjoyable to watch and hear. So happy with my purchase

Great blue ray player. A little expensive but I'm sure it will be worth it over the life of the player.

This thing is a beast! Makes what i watch a real treat. I only use the player so i cannot speak about the apps function/feature. Also i really like that I can use my LG remote on it too.

Great picture quality, fast playing disc reader, and it even came with 2 additional free 4K movies in the newest Jumanji film and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. The best Blu-ray player I have purchased to date, as 4K cannot be outmatched. The colors are vibrant and movies have never looked better. If you are in need of a 4K upgrade, this 4K Blu-ray player is one of the best I have bought, and I highly recommend it.

It’s The best and I have two one in the tv room and one In my room. The machine uploads dvd’s, blu-ray’s and is overall very clear and true 4k for viewing 4k movies. I added a Samsung 4k 85” tv for a True Movie Experience. You need to purchase this player

This player handles just about any format imaginable. Forget the streaming function. Useless. They shouldn't offer it. Aside from that I love it. Bought Open Box so it was less than the 700. It arrived like new!

Fantastic product highly recommended, buy and enjoy

While it does a great job when it works, it doesn't really work very good at least half the time. While I bought this to replace another Sony player that was having issues I only inherited more. Examples: -It will fault out during Prime viewing and/or other streaming content. The only fix is to shut it off and reboot the darn thing. -The remote won't work with my Sony receiver and vice versa, even though they are about the same age/series. So much for "universal" remote language. -The remote will turn on the old Sony DVD player and confuse my Sony receiver often making start ups and shut downs a lot of fun. The only reason I keep the DVD player hooked up is because the newer player doesn't always boot back up so if I want to finish watching something I have to use the older Sony player which has fewer glitches than the newer one. My previous Sony receiver lasted over 20 years and worked well. Given all the flaws and performance issues of the newer units I have to say I will never buy another Sony product again.

I perfer a standalone player for movies vs. playing back on console. This player has great picutre and audio quality. Almost all HDR and audio formats are supported which is why I chose the Sony at this price point. The only downside is having to manually turn Dolby Vision on and off before starting a movie, you would think this should be auto detected. This is my only gripe.

Much better than the last model I bought. Better features, doesn’t seem to freeze up nearly as much. I think so far it’s only frozen once and that was during powering it on, not while playing a disc. The first 4K ultra Blu Ray player I bought was the Sony XBP-U800 and it just freezes badly. This model is much better and reliable. I always buy Sony!

Great picture and sound, and easy setup. I bought my first X800M2 in November 2023, and it died in about 2 weeks. Got a replacement, and it died in about 5 weeks. A neighbor's unit died in a couple of months. I'd heard that the 700s were solid machines, but Sony missed the boat here. We'll see how my new Panasonic works out.

As many know this is a great player with great reviews and the only common issue I have heard of is freeze ups. I have owned this for about 1 month now and have used it a fair amount and have not run into any issues so far. I believe the build date on this unit is Aug 2019 so I would hope that Sony has fixed their notorious problem by then. Has been working flawlessly which is why I have given it 5 stars. Hopefully it stays that way!

Nice dvd player , support 4 k easy to use and nice picture quality .
