We had a 12-year old BlueRay, so this was an upgrade. Must fast loader and a great add that Amazon and Netflix are integrated into the system. I can ALMOST get rid of my other remotes. The one miss is that there is no YouTubeTV. So I still need my Roku. Also, when you stop a DVD, it does not remember where you were. You have to use the scene selector to get back to where you stopped. It also seems big for what it is.

I’m sure you can spend more but I doubt you’ll do any better. The disc tray is solidly constructed and whisper quiet. It supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision (though Dolby Vision needs to be manually activated and deactivated in settings). I’ve never had a disc player turn on and load this fast. I’m so glad I’m no longer using my games consoles to view Blu Ray and UHD Blu Ray.

I like my new Sony 4K player. It works great with my Sony 75 inch Smart TV.

I have had many DVD players and this purchase was to be used with my new 4k Samsung OLED TV. I am impressed and satisfied, Sony has always had great products.

I was excited to get this after reading all the great reviews. Maybe I have been out of the loop too long and havent bought a media endpoint aside from, playstations, fire cubes and rokus but the quality of the hardware and user interface is horrendous. The main interface screen looks like a 10 year old designed it. The remote is severely limited and cheesy compared to the playstation 3 media remote. The infra red signal is weak. There is no display on the front of the unit. The video and audio quality were pretty solid but it locked up with no way to turn it off aside from pulling the plug from the ac outlet within the first 30 minutes. This was after the initial test and after I integrated it into my rack. It's going back today.

So far, so good. i wasn't extremely excited about this purchase that my husband suggested however, I have come to fully acknowledge the advantage this player has over the x-box. both video and sound are incredible and I really love the Bluetooth option to pair with earbuds.

I had Blu Ray before it, but had 4K TV. Was looking for 4K Player options available in market. Then Sony came up with this model. When I used it, experience is altogether different. The colors are more brighter and sound is way beyond my expectations. This model has very good built, so that there should not be any inner shaking of disc. Really like the product and highly recommend it.

This is a great 4k Blu-ray, we love the picture on our Sony 4K TV. The best part about this player is that you can pay DSD CDs and output to your stereo system, which is awesome if you have Super Audio CDs. We love the clarity of sound and it works very well with our Krell.

Extremely easy to setup. Beautiful picture and simple menus.

I love this 4k player. Upscaling is terrific and 4k disc play is really, really good. My only issue is that you have to manually turn on/off Dolby Vision. Small irritant but that’s why no 5 star vote. Good, quality player and at sale price a bargain (IMO)

Would be nice if there were more “smart” features. Picture quality is good and easy to use.

Awesome sound system. It only lacks 2 speakers in the wireless rears vs the top of the line but you wouldn't know it. You won't regret your purchase if you buy this one!!

I bought this new player to replace an old Sony Blu-Ray player that would not play some recent movie titles. It has very nice picture and sound options. Plays all my collection of Blu-Ray and DVD movies. No complaints.

The player does what it is supposed to , the picture quality is fantastic easy to play. buy the Best buy HDMI cable to experience even a better picture quality bettern than $1,000 dollar cables out there.

Wow! Watched a 4K film and the picture was crystal clear. I mean crystal clear… I was impressed. The 4K streaming apps are only a couple buts that’s because not many are streaming 4K, yet. When they do, you’ll be ready. Hooked right into receiver and sound system. The sound is better than the theater.

I love it!! It plays any disk you put in it, crystal clear picture, I recommend it to a few people already I have movie night every Saturday with it, I also enjoy watching it in 3D, it’s a great product to own, I’ll probably buy another one for the bedroom also.
