excellent video and audio quality and you can play SACD in hi-resolution audio and flowless wi-fi connection and when you play 4k movies the quality is amazing I truly recommend this 4k player.

Sounds great... worth the purchase. Only problem is that it goes on when the TV is turned on or when we look at certain features. It would be best to just use it all the time...on our Sony 80j OLED 65 incher.

I bought this for 4k capabilities and Dolby Vision. Unfortunately, It was past return date when I noticed about 80% of my 4k discs freeze. Blu ray and dvds play fine. Everything else about this player is great. I've since learned that freezing is a common problem for Sony 4k players. I'm gifting this to someone who's not in to 4k.

Great picture, but I have experience some of the picture lock that has been often reported on this unit online. I found it to be linked to dirty DVDs; unit is very sensitive and operates best with very clean discs.

I had a PS4 that I used primarily as a blu ray player and a streaming service. When it broke I didn't want to pay for a PS5 so I opted for a Sony blu ray player and assumed the interface would be the same as the PS4. Sadly, it was not. The blu ray player is excellent, but the interface is nowhere near as good as the PS4 and the only streaming services I can access are Netflix, Prime Video, and Youtube. With the PS4 I could access any streaming service I wanted. Also, the remote is not as versatile as the PS4. I ended up getting an Amazon Firestick to access the streaming services I lost. I am keeping the Blu-ray player because of the picture quality, but I should have gotten another PS4 or PS5 for the much better interface and streaming capabilities.

I upgraded my Sony DVD player to this one because I have surround sound but was having trouble hearing movie dialogue. I have that trouble no more! The sound on this player is awesome. As with all Sony's the 4K pic is great too!

Nice 4K player. Have in my office. Would recommend. Picture is nice. I know people complain about the apps, but for me, having only a few apps is just fine. The remote is better than the very small LG remote I have for my other 4K player.

Solid materials, feels extremely high quality, I’ve had zero issues, the picture is fantastic, and it works well with my Bravia.

Recently bought this to replace a player that mysteriously would not play the main audio channel for a movie—I could have the soundtrack in several other languages, or with the commentary (all Dolby Audio), but not the original audio for the movie itself (DTS HD MA). I chose this player because it supposedly has SACD capability as well. Turns out it DOESN'T, even though the manual and the setup menu suggests otherwise. It will only play the CD layer—I just confirmed this with Sony. Which is too bad—for a moment there, I thought they had finally got one right. On the other hand, my main problem was solved, and the remote has a much better layout than the old one.

Amazing quality, upgraded from the x700 and wow the sound is so much better on my surround sound system!

This is the second Sony 4K player I have purchased. I upgraded to this one from the previous model. Overall, a good unit. My only criticism on this one vs the previous model I had was this one only come with amazon prime and Netflix. Whereas the previous unit would allow me to add multiple apps.

Sleek design and looks really good on a desktop. Access times are very slow especially since streaming has been a thing.

This is the third model Sony 4K Blu Ray player. One of them being an all region player and another a gift. Excellent performance on one of the best brand players around. And easy to use. I recommend this model 100%!

I am loving this Blu-Ray Player! The picture quality on my LG C1 OLED TV is SUPERB!!! Highly recommend this and when it's on sale, it's even better!
