This is a top tier device. It plays Blue Ray and DVD disks and even old video on DVD disks in better quality with the upscaling.

Decided to upgrade the BDP since I upgrade my home theater system. I like that is have Dolby Vision. I do not like the wording it uses for Dolby Atmos.

Love the design. Love its Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support. But the user interface doesn’t seems that pretty. But this shouldn’t be a problem if you’re a fan of Sony.

This replaced the ES series which crapped out in a year. Planning on shipping back for service. Bought this one in the meantime. The picture looks identical to the ES model as well as the sound.

First, I am searching for a region-free and/or multi-region player for my Region B Series (not made in USA). Extensive searches said this player could change to B, but those reviews are 2-3 years old, and the 'hold B' hack did not work. For a $250 4K player, it's not worth it since your still bound to USA discs. At 4K the quality is great, but you can spend less for same and/or better quality on another brand, which I'm hoping a Panasonic player will change regions. Another thing I noticed with Sony TVs and players is the lack of ability to update and/or add current steaming services. Sure every brand now has Netflix and Prime, but Sony still will not allow you to have (HBO)MAX, Disney+, Paramount+, etc which is my main reason for 2 stars. Buy this player if your TV allows or already has most up-to-date streaming services, but be forewarned if your TV is also a Sony because that combined with a Sony player LIMITS your streaming services.

Way better than what I need, but does everything I need it to. Plays all my regular Blu Rays that wouldn't work on my 8yr old player. Endgame was amazing on it!

Great little player. No lag on interface and crystal clear picture. 4 stars as I have initially experienced freezes. I can’t say for sure yet if it’s the player or the movies. Will update after more use.

The picture is excellent! However, I dont like the fact that it doesn't have a time counter and the power light is tiny and its hard to know if its on or off.

The X800M2 has Dolby Vision that is compatible with the X900F. Very nice. One downside is that there is no front panel display.

This seems to be a good product. There is no vibration when it is in operation like some have. The metal housing was worth the difference in price over plastic.

The player does an excellent job with UHD movies with 4k Dolby Vision and Atmos sound. AMAZING

This player performs well with 4K and Blu-Ray disks, but also upconverts DVD's to 1080P resolution, which is a nice extra feature for those that might still have a library of DVD's.

Working as advertised. Sony quality never disappoint you. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a mid-high tier 4k blu-ray player.
