I purchased this as part of upgrading my home theatre to 4k HDR and Dolby Atmos. Its a heavy, solid built unit and performance has been excellent.

The xbox x has the 4k player but something about having an actual 4k player makes films look way better

Compared to my oppo 203 I wasn't expecting a lot with this Sony blu ray player. Watching Jumanji 2 in 4k, the video is clear but not vibrant; however, the reason I returned it is the audio especially the center dialoge channel sounded like it was coming from inside a tin can. Adjustments with my receiver and speakers made no change. I replaced it with a Panasonic DP-UB820 and the difference is night and day.

Easy setup, reads quickly and picture quality is as advertised. Sony Blu-rays are great! The price makes this a good deal.

Huge improvement over the 700! None if the issues the kessor model has.

Loads BluRay DVDs quicker than previous players I’ve owned. Finally back to a unit that at least looks like it is well built. Hopefully will last many years.

Looking for a Blue ray player that played hi res SACDs. Best Buy had this Sony and it is spectacular.

This replaced my old DVD player. Great sounds and super grade Video. Had Geek squad install it, but they didnt program it to the internet and pair it to my sound bar.

Great build quality, plays all formats of audio including SACD. Wish it had auto selection when playing Dolby Vision content.

Works excellent. Video quality is super. Ive watxh 3d movies as well. Only thing i don't like is the apps are preloaded and you can't update them.

Brought it home and was watching a movie within a few minutes. Had to go online to register to use Netflix etc. Happy with the purchase

I purchased a new 4K Sony Bravia 65" TV. I had to upgrade my Blue Ray Player because I purchased an Ulta 4K Top Gun Maverick DVD. This Sony UBP-X800M2 4K HD Blue Ray Player is awesome! I saw this Top Gun Maverick at the Regal theater and on the Sony Blue Ray player, it was almost like at the theater!
