Recent dvd (bluray) player started out the same way. They eventually stopped playing blu ray dvd for what ever reason. No update for the system, no fixes, and becomes a 200.00 paper weight.

Everything is working great on it so far. The remote is fine and I have no issues with the button's. Works really well. The player itself will overheat if you use it for more than a few hours, unless you have it sitting off of the surface you placed it on. I have four coasters one on each corner of the player to keep it elevated and to allow for the heat to disperse. Other than that it is a great little player.
