This is the best 4K UHD blu ray player to get! Has everything you could want! Has HDR & HDR 10 & Dolby vision & Dolby Atmos, has a amazing upscale to 4K setting! Set it to Auto 2 in 4K upscale, makes DVDs & regular blu rays look absolutely best they can & 4K discs are absolutely amazing

Whisper quiet operation and its built like a tank. Went with this unit over the Panasonic because of the build quality and it doesn’t disappoint

The picture quality when playing an 4k Blu-ray is awsome. The picture when streaming an app through it, is just adequate.

Great picture quality, fast playing disc reader, and it even came with 2 additional free 4K movies in the newest Jumanji film and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. The best Blu-ray player I have purchased to date, as 4K cannot be outmatched. The colors are vibrant and movies have never looked better. If you are in need of a 4K upgrade, this 4K Blu-ray player is one of the best I have bought, and I highly recommend it.

We bought this new 4K Blu-ray player to go with our Smart TV, and play the new Top Gun Maverick movie with the Bose system full blast. We like being able to play our prior 3K DVDs with the improved sound. This is a great player!

As many know this is a great player with great reviews and the only common issue I have heard of is freeze ups. I have owned this for about 1 month now and have used it a fair amount and have not run into any issues so far. I believe the build date on this unit is Aug 2019 so I would hope that Sony has fixed their notorious problem by then. Has been working flawlessly which is why I have given it 5 stars. Hopefully it stays that way!

I perfer a standalone player for movies vs. playing back on console. This player has great picutre and audio quality. Almost all HDR and audio formats are supported which is why I chose the Sony at this price point. The only downside is having to manually turn Dolby Vision on and off before starting a movie, you would think this should be auto detected. This is my only gripe.

Much better than the last model I bought. Better features, doesn’t seem to freeze up nearly as much. I think so far it’s only frozen once and that was during powering it on, not while playing a disc. The first 4K ultra Blu Ray player I bought was the Sony XBP-U800 and it just freezes badly. This model is much better and reliable. I always buy Sony!

I bought a Sony blue ray 4k dvd player and I am very satisfied. The picture quality is excellent. I am using it in our movie room with a 100 inch screen and the quality is amazing. You can see every little detail. I just finished watching the Avengers End Game and after watching 3 times on other devices this was the best. As soon as they go on sale again I will buy one or two more.

Really enjoying this 4k bluray player. Both HDR and Dolby Vision look great. It would be nice if you didnt have to toggle Dolby Vision on and off but it's only a minor inconvenience. I had an LG 4k bluray player prior to this and you can definitely tell the difference in craftsmanship. However, I would expect nothing less from Sony.

Great blue ray player. A little expensive but I'm sure it will be worth it over the life of the player.

It’s The best and I have two one in the tv room and one In my room. The machine uploads dvd’s, blu-ray’s and is overall very clear and true 4k for viewing 4k movies. I added a Samsung 4k 85” tv for a True Movie Experience. You need to purchase this player
