Beautiful picture, quite as could be, no skipping issues at all.

Bought this particular Blu-ray player after doing some research on 4K players. For the money this Sony 4K player is very good, nice pic & sound and quick startup. It’s also built very sturdy compared to my other all region Sony player!! It’s hooked up to my Samsung 75” tv and looks great, even though the tv is not 4K (that’s my next purchase). Highly recommend this Sony Blu-ray player!!!

Well built and rugged steel chassis. It is very fast and quiet to load both Blu-ray and UHD discs. Great value for the money. Simple and easy to setup. Very well laid out remote control with a well laid out "easy setup" screen when turned on for the first time.

The blue ray experience is superior to streaming, especially the sound quality.

It’s a great buy for its price! You can’t go wrong with this player if you want to save money. It is comparable to the Panasonic 820. You would not be able to tell the difference between the video quality.

I was pleasantly surprised with the heft of this player. It felt every bit as substantial and sturdy as my OPPO player. Installation and set-up was smooth and without issue. The performance of the player was flawless and stunning. Both the audio and video was impressive. I would highly recommend this UHD player!

I should have purchased the Sony unit before I purchased another brand. The picture quality the best. Even the multi channel sound is so much better from the Sony unit than the other 4K player. There is one little odd feature is that you have to manually select Dolby Vision from the menu. Other than that feature< I ave not problems wit this very good 4K player.

I got this because I wanted to be able to SACD and DVD-A. Blue-Ray movies were a second consideration because we get most of our content from AppleTV. CD players have become insanely expensive and brands like Oppo that made fantastic devices are no longer producing disc player. Works good as an audio player hooked up to a receiver. The only connection is HDMI, no analog so it cannot be hooked up to a two channel analog stereo kit for CD use.

I only have a few discs now but after getting a 4K TV I wanted to have a 4K Bluray player. Since my TV is Sony (X950G) and this player is Sony, they work well together, but it will work with any TV. The picture quality is breathtaking and the operation is decent given the limitations of discs. The build quality is SOLID if that matters to you. Basically silent operation.

Love this player. Makes my DVDs/Blurays look amazing. Haven’t tried a true 4k UHD disc yet, but my other formats look great! Still have trouble with the dialogue being too quiet at times and the loud scenes being overly loud. I’ve tried every setting with no luck. It’s annoying to keep turning the volume up and down, but that’s what we do.
