Extremely easy to setup. Beautiful picture and simple menus.

Well built, heavy unit. Being used primarily for CD playback. Sounds great and has quick, quiet operation. Just wish that it had more visual display info, but that is a small complaint for such a reasonably priced quality CD player Very similar to the high end Sony Esprit model.

This player provides excellent sound and video at an affordable price.

The picture quality is very good. But the SOUND quality is amazing! We have been gathering our 4K UHD video library and decided to upgrade our player. For the price we definitely got a big bang for our buck.

The quality of the 4k dvds is amazing and the audio quality is second to none. If you have invested in an audio system for your media room, don’t lose wuality with streaming, get a 4k dvd player.

About the same excellent picture as my UBP x700, but definitely a nice improvement on the audio side. Limited apps, but I only use this to play discs, so not that important in my use case. Would give it 5 stars for the audio quality alone, but this player have issues with freezing and would need a power cycle from time to time.

I love it!! It plays any disk you put in it, crystal clear picture, I recommend it to a few people already I have movie night every Saturday with it, I also enjoy watching it in 3D, it’s a great product to own, I’ll probably buy another one for the bedroom also.

I purchased the Sony-UBP-X800M2 4k Ultra Hi-Res Blu-ray player because I heard all of the talk about this player. I think sound is fantastic it plays sacd as well has other cd and it does it very well. The only problem I have had is the remote stop working but luckily it works with other sony dvd player remotes.

Great DVD player- have played multiple 4k dvd's and the picture is stunning

This is a great 4k Blu-ray, we love the picture on our Sony 4K TV. The best part about this player is that you can pay DSD CDs and output to your stereo system, which is awesome if you have Super Audio CDs. We love the clarity of sound and it works very well with our Krell.

This is a great DVD player! The Dolby Vision brings out contrasts and sharpens the already-4K UHD picture even more. Sound is intensified, even with my Klipsch Home Theater System.

The video and audio quality of DVD's is nothing short of fantastic. I mainly use the x800M2 for CD and USB playback. CD's and USB MP3's have a new liveliness and musicality. I am now in the process of putting my favorite MP3 albums and compilations onto a USB thumb drive. This becomes a solid state high resolution music server.

Wow! Watched a 4K film and the picture was crystal clear. I mean crystal clear… I was impressed. The 4K streaming apps are only a couple buts that’s because not many are streaming 4K, yet. When they do, you’ll be ready. Hooked right into receiver and sound system. The sound is better than the theater.

Bought this to upgrade my father's old 1080p player now that we've upgraded him to 4K. Setup was a breeze, and the upgrade to this unit was a noticeable improvement. Upgrading the firmware to the latest revision was also easy and quickly accomplished. Not a single thing to really complain about with this unit - would buy again.

Will never watch movies the same again. Would love to upgrade, but this 4K player is already a step up from my previous
