This was a replacement for. An older system. Basically a plug and play set up. Picture and sound quality are excellent. Easy to connect to our wireless internet for streaming content.

Whats not to like seriously. Things a beast! I think it makes up where other 4k blu-ray players fall short. The hi-res sound is 1 and the picture is nuts!

Recently gave up on my Samsung 4K Blu-Ray player. Had problems with playing brand new Blu-Ray disc, not to mention 4K Blu-Ray disc. Haven't had a problem with the Sony. The picture quality is outstanding.

Solidly built and good for the price. No firmware update to allow for auto switching for DV so despite what others may say, that does need to be manually executed when playing a disc with DV.

I bought this model of 4K player because the previous model failed and this was what I paid a bit mor after Geek Squd to replace it. The color and clarity of both my Blu-Rays and 4Ks is noticeably better. Worth the price!

    4k Discs Freeze

I bought this for 4k capabilities and Dolby Vision. Unfortunately, It was past return date when I noticed about 80% of my 4k discs freeze. Blu ray and dvds play fine. Everything else about this player is great. I've since learned that freezing is a common problem for Sony 4k players. I'm gifting this to someone who's not in to 4k.

The Sony 800M2 does a great job on older blu ray disc as well as 4k blu ray disc. Great sound and clarity. The unit is built like a tank. You will not be dissapointed with this purchase . I highly recommend this unit.

Solid Blue ray player. Great picture quality. Keep in mind that If you are planning to play BD rips through USB port, it won't passthrough DTS-HDMA or Dolby true HD 7.1

This thing weighs upwards of 10 pounds, and until I plugged my first Blu Ray in, I didn't understand why. My movies have never looked so great on this thing. It's not a cheap player, but totally worth it.

Awesome UHBD player. Very quiet in playback mode. Best audio quality overall against Panasonic BD player. Only issue is the manual Dolby vision video selection.
