Also, there is no way to use this player to stream DSD digital audio of an SACD to a DAC, so pretty useless from that perspective. Eh. OK but not great.

He did an excellent job. I was impressed that he did the installation by his self because the TV was very heavy! He also programed the remote to work with our existing devices and reviewed how to work the remote.

I got this because I have DVD-Audios and some SACDs. Other than the OPPOs not to many 4K Blu-Ray players offer these formats. I don't care about streaming, this is strictly for discs of all formats.

Unfortunately it freezes all the time even with brand new discs. I sent it sony and they sent a new one. That seemed to work fine but now I’m having the same problems with it. I would not recommend this because of the freezing.

I have the older x800 4K player and I have two 75” Samsung Q9FN TVs and you can really see the difference in HDR10 format. But not all 4K movies have HDR10 format (very few). Thought about returning it due to this but I got it at a good price on Black Friday ($200).

Would think over the years the size of blu ray players would get smaller but yet Sony brand got bigger. It is also heavy. BUT it does what it is suppose to do and was easy to setup.
