Bought for multi-channel SACD support. Does that very well. 4K picture is solid. My TV isn't HDR, so I can't comment on that.

Testing and demo at the store was great, so I hope it's the same when I get my own.

Just what I wanted an updated blu ray player. Used it a few times now. So far so good. This makes my system complete now.

Most of the reviews I read of this were glowing, but my experience with it hasn't been good. Blu-rays look and sound mostly excellent, and DVD sound is very good as well, but the upscaling of DVD picture is so bad that you'll be considering trading all of your DVDs up to Blu-ray or digital, pretty much instantly. Characters and scenery break up outside of close-up shots, and the close-ups are very harsh and strange-looking. I also get a weird shimmy in some images, sometimes a blurry swath across the screen -- and so on. Blu-rays look just as good on my old PS3, and DVDs are much better, so I'm wondering why I even bothered. There must be a TV this machine works well with, but it's not mine.

So far I'm impressed with this player. The remote control is very nice as well. Just hope I don't have issues like I've read in other posts. I've only watched two movies with it so far.

Much quieter than my previous Sony DVD player. No problem with UHD movies and does have Bitstream out for surround receivers. So far, I am very happy with my purchase.

It gave us the streaming options we wanted without replacing our tv. My only complaint is why don’t these items come with an HDMI cable at this point??? It’s needed and not an option so they should be included.

Great blu-ray player and app selection works very well with 4k Blu-rays.

Perfect with good looking but it doesn’t support Dolby vision contents

I was looking for a DVD player and the Sony was the best that Bestbuy had to offer.

System wasn’t set up and plug and play. Front speakers hang easy.

Definitely can see the difference Ultra HD makes while watching movies!

I bought this to upgrade my HT. Rocks. 3D excellent. Paired with a Denon 760 and atmos setup.

Unexpectedly Needed a new cdrom player. Covid-19 caused changes to Best Buy operations, They we’re up and working well with a new drive up, pickup process that worked. Thank you.

It was easy to set up, however I wish Sony would provide better guidance about the PCM setting.

Plays the blu-ray and other DVD formats well. Easier to operate with the remote, buttons are hard to see.

Sony DVD/CD players have always been in my home and this one also is among the best. Great features and playback. Would recommend to anyone considering a high end player.
