Love the product! Just what i was lookinh for! Best part about it was the great orice.

This was a present for my husband who is very particular about his electronics. This works really well, the best feature is the conversion capability to close to 4K for our library of blu ray videos. Happy New Year to us!

Only used it a couple times so far, but seems good. Only had one random DVD freeze.

Have owned a few Sony CD/DVD players over the years. Have never been disappointed. The UBP-X800M2 performs as expected. Setup was easy. Integrates nicely with other Sony Bravia devices.

I had to update my older Blu-Ray player that wouldn’t play some of my ultra HD movies. This Sony player was an excellent choice.

Had older blue ray player , thought it was time for a new one. After getting this one can't believe I wasted so long. Great in every way for what I need. And it's wireless so it can update itself.

I had a 4 k dolby vision blu- ray player from another brand, recently bought a Sony z9f model tv and wanted a better uhd and dolby vision Blu-ray player from Sony. This is a excellent player and I highly recommend it!

We have bought 3 of these X800 DVD players from Best Buy. The first one we bought in 11/2017 and it still works like a champ. the 2nd one we bought 10/2018 and it lasted only 2 years. The 3rd one we bought in 10/2020 as a replacement for the 2nd one. It lasted less than 3 months. The last 2 have had the same issue where it works fine in the beginning and then it just freezes up. We tried everything; unplug it/wait/replug it in, reset the unit through the menu, plug it in to a different outlet, disconnect the internet, plug it into a different TV,... and it still won't work. Like I said, this is the 2nd unit that has had the same failure. It stops responding to the remote and won't play a DVD (which is what we bought the unit for). All of our A/V equipment (multiple TV's, sound bars, DVD players, receivers, etc...) are Sony, and are all new within the last 3 years and all purchased at Best Buy. I'm very disappointed that this is a constant issue with the DVD player. To add insult to injury, we have been trying to call Best Buy customer support for the last two days to ask about this and no one ever answers. We have spent 7-8 thousand dollars on all our equipment, and we were hoping that we would be treated better than this. Best Buy has lost us as a customer over this.

So far so good. Decent picture and sound. This is a replacement of an older version of the same player which only lasted two years. Hopefully I'll have better luck with this one.

Great machine, bought for my father in law for Christmas gift, he loves it.

I’m happy with my purchase. I bought it to play my cds on my new stereo system. It works great I expect nothing less from the pioneers of the cd.

I'm using the X800M2 with a 4K SONY projector a a 102" Stewart screen. Operation is smooth. Display and sound run through my SONY STR DH 790, seamless.

Great HD 4K player. This player can play almost every format in dvd and CDs. A great addition to a home entertainment system with 4K HDR and multi format sounds.

Great Blu-Ray player! Discs start quickly. The interface is simple and uncluttered. I haven't tried many of the apps, but the ones I have tried are fast. Playing videos from USB also works well.

This player is magic, thank you Sony. One of the best for my point of view is the Bluetooth connection and connect a headphone to watch a movie. The menu is very complete. Really the model you need today in Ultra HD.

Couldn’t be happier…. I consulted the stores garu and he spent time breaking down the differences between the TV sets. I ended up ordering the same Sony he said he had in his home.

I bought this for the ease of having built-in wifi for system upgrades, which works out great. Only wish it diplayed the time duration played/left when putting a disc on pause.

-The home front is simple, gorgeous, exactly what I wanted. -The settings layout is exceptionally concise. (I like to make a few changes depending on the format I’m playing) -Of course, viewing is a pleasure.

It just plays movies. It has a couple of apps but I've never used them. Outstanding!

The Sony UBP-X800 Streaming Ultra HD Hi-Res Audio unit is very comprehensive for those who need this high level of technology. It was well beyond my personal needs, so returned it for something smaller and simple to use.
