It’s much faster than the blu-ray unit we had. Haven’t had much time to really watch any amount of 4K but I believe it’s going to be a good picture.

Sony Ultra HD Blu-ray/DVD player

Was hoping for a bit more of an upgrade on m2

You lose a few features but gain dolby vision but its the exact same remote, case and design. You could probably score an x800 for about $80 used if you dont care about DV, those players did still support hdr tho. The european versions of this player also do all region and convert PAL to NTSC

Then they went from Japan to China and the quality suffered. But it seems China is learning how to improve the quality, so this was a good quality purchase.

Old unit was dvd/VHS recorder player. Dvd player portion failed. This is great but prices sure have gone up over the years. Would recommend.

Freezes on 4k Discs

It was easy to set up and use, but ultimately had to exchange it for the Panasonic UB-820-K.
