I'm used to samsung products, so this took some getting used to. There's a few things I'm not happy about, function-wise, but that's usually the way it goes.

Second Sony in 15years excellent product, built to last. The price was very good for a quality product.

Plays everything I have, including surround DVD-audios and surround SACDs.

This player works great and produces very good colors. The only down side is having to manually switch DOLBY VISION support on.

Excellent Choice. Works great with my Samsung tv and sound bar. Great synchronization with my cable app.

I like that I can play any format on this player. The remote is comfortable in the hand too, not too small or bulky.

Excellent upgrade to my UBP X800 which decided to just stop working one day. MUCH faster load cycle. Very responsive. Wish the remote was back-lit.

Great Blu-ray player and the 2nd one I have bought. It covers all y needs watching DVD's, streaming Netflix and Amazon.

Love this player . I needed player that plays UBD and strems contents directly from my NAS without breaking a sweat !! And indeed this does its job !

Love this. Got it to watch old home videos on where other players don't work on these. Very happy with it for this as well as other formats.

Fantastic quality on the blue ray playback. cinema like quality paired with Sony - 55" Class - OLED - A9G MASTER Series. Cons: 1: no led display on unit

Excellent buy. Bought it and kept it because it is awesome. No complaints at all. Behaves well with the Sony Home Theater system.

Had to send a unit back to Sony three times. Replaced three times. Bought a second one. I hope I don’t regret that.

We purchased this on 6/26/20, today is 11/10/20. It started out fine, we were able to get it setup pretty quickly. However, we have nothing but problems for the past few months. Every time we power it on the streaming services have to be logged into again. We had issues where it will not turn off from either the remote or power button. The only option is to pull the power cord. The software is up to date. Customer service was useless. Now we are beyond the return period so we will deal with it until I get so frustrated I smash it into a million pieces...which isn't far away.

Even though I finally figured out that this DVD player did not have a display (but relied on a tv/monitor for this function, the documentation included did not clearly spell this out and I spent hours trying to figure out if there was some sort of setting I was missing. Also, all the documentation seemed to suggest connecting the player directly to the tuner, which sort of worked but only after a long wait time (talking like 15 minutes or so), so I connected it to the back of my tv/monitor and things worked better.

yeah go ahead and think that 4k discs are not a thing while you are streaming. you will be wrong. and you would be wise to buy one of these while you still can
