I’m glad I was able to purchase this dvd player, even though it was over $200, it was very worth it, i needed it and it’s compatible with my 4K Sony smart tv. The set up was easy and not bad. The 4K display is beautiful and amazing. My 4K Blu-ray dvd player works even today. I hope this DVD player lasts me a very long time.

I got this for a black Friday deal at around the same price as the lower tier one so I figured for the little bit extra money may as well go bigger however, I have not tested any other 4K Blu-ray player other than a PS5 and it does have a better quality than a PS5. I’d recommend watching an actual review or reading review from someone who knows better than some stranger on Best Buy.

Great Blu-ray player

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is my second Purchase of this model coz the first one lasted for almost a year was damage when our homes was hit by lightning strike a year ago.You better secure all your home streaming devices by connecting it to the uninterruptible power supply( UPS) coz it regulates any voltage irregularities created during lightning strike.This 4K Sony player is a one of the high tier on all other competitive brands, and it has a lot of features.

Caught this on sale. Picture is sharp with super vivid colors. Player is a bit large so measure your space before buying.

I assume that is for the additional electronics need to be a multi-format player. That is the reason I purchased it, so I could play Dolby Atmos discs, as well as SACD and DVD-Audio. So far, it has handled the multiple formats well. I intend to use for both music and video.

It is compatible with my new Sony Bravia TV and the colors and picture quality are excellent. Audio output is significantly noticeable Improvement for my surround sound system. Too bad they didn't put more manual control buttons on the front panel for the days you lose your remote control other than that it's heavy duty and well worth the money .

Amazing 4K BluRay Player

The setup was so easy that I thought I was doing something wrong at first. No gnashing of teeth or hours of studying the owners manual. Just plug in and go. The picture and sound are phenomenal. And because both my TV and 4K player are Sony products, the TV remote works the BluRay and the BluRay remote works the TV. What a pleasure! Sony has really done their homework on this one.

Satisfied with play quality, audio quality, time to load the disc. One time it got stuck in close to 2 months usage. Overall happy with the purchase

UBP-X800M2 Review

I have a region-free Sony UBP-X700 that capably served as my everyday player, but the X800M2 offers extraordinary clarity on my new Sony A8H TV. I haven’t acquired a sound system yet, so I cannot attest to the X800M2’s audio capabilities. The only issue I have with this player is minor — one of the foot pads is slightly smaller than the others and causes a wobble if the player is touched. It does not make a difference to playback, though, and it is an easy fix. I expect this player to surpass my expectations as my home theater system grows.
