Purchased for new Oled 4K tv. Great quality bonus is that it plays SACD audio so I can enjoy my super audio cd’s.

High quality sound and can be connected with other Sony Bluetooth speakers. Easy to use and charge lasts for hours of playing time.

Solid HD blu-ray player, and very quiet. My only gripes are that it sometimes locks up on movie menus, not allowing the movie to play or take inputs from controller. Seems to be a common issue with this model, that may be fixed in a firmware update. Other than that issue, no complaints, great quality, easy to use, and high quality.

This is a replacement for my 2004 Toshiba 5 disc Changer SACD, DVD Audio DVD player. This is an awesome Blue -Ray Player nothing could go wrong with Sony products. I love listening to old my collection of CD's , SACD's and DVD Audio's. The instruments you hear are accurate and detailed sounds when you listen to it. I assigned only this for listening to music, not movies .

I was looking for an all region 4k blu ray player and if you google that, this model from best buy comes up first. Just wahted to warn others, it in fact is not region free. Sony doesn't sell any region free models directly. It doesn't say anywhere that it does, but it doesn't say anywhere that it doesn't, and since it plays every other format imaginable it was a bit confusing. That being said I ended up returning this one and getting a modified one that us all region from another company. However I did try regular blu ray and 4k movies and they played seem less without issue. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 was the lack of apps for being a smart device. It comes wirh netflix, prime video, and YouTube. Unfortunately you can't download additional apps. Also doesn't come with an hdmi cable which is kind of lame. It's a great basic 4k blu ray player if that's what you're looking for, just know it's smart features are limited.

Excellent 4K picture. Crisp and very detailed. Will buy another for my other 4k TV. Very happy with it.

Been searching around for a good DVD/CD player and this one does it all. The feature's of the Sony beat them all hands down. The slow motion and fast forward was stable with no flutter. The sound quality playing CD's was crystal clear with no back ground noise. Yes it was a few dollars more than some of the other brands but in the long run you can't go wrong. Well worth the money!

After purchasing a new 4K Dolby Vision Tv, I decided to get a 4K player, but I have a Oppo BDP 103 player and with my new TV, the picture looks awesome, so I am keeping the Oppo to watch regular Blu Rays, but unfortunately, I could not afford the Panasonic 820,this was one was on sale for $200.00, and after watching some 4K movies, I am very satisfied. the picture looks great. Only a minor inconvenience, you have to manually switch to Dolby Vision. It is built very solid, very quiet and load times are fast, a very solid player.

Bought Sony before trust there reliability and quality. Nice looking and working 4K Player good sound and picture quality loads quickly with Blu-Rays. Pretty big compared to models before measuring 16" long. Something i noticed like Sony players before it won't decode Dolby Digital Plus from an .mkv file or any other video file still shows unsupported audio. Updates never seem to fix this particular issue otherwise player works great for all other audio on files.

It’s quality and the price is perfect. Until the price match guarantee is invalid for the thanksgiving week. I’m not sure if I will be purchasing another product because of the price match guarantee misleading options. I’m going to be a Bjorn customer for the first time and I will be happy to do it. I feel that the best way to get you to buy is a guarantee, and the price match guarantee to mislead consumers to falsely save did me in. I have no reply from the chat and the service number

Great picture, intuitive remote. Discs load fast. I need to obtain some UHD 4k dvds.

This takes the place of a Sony 1100ES blu-ray that failed after jlust 16 months of service. It handles everything well, from movies to streaming, plus SACD music and conventional CDs. It lacks the display of its more expensive (but discontinued) predecessor, but otherwise looks and operates pretty much the same way--fingers crossed that it stays the course and remains less buggy and unreliable than the 1100 that caused us so many problems.

Amazing with paired with a matching TV. Returned the Samsung products and was sold on this Blu-ray and got the Sony x950g. Best decision ever!

I purchased a new 4K Sony Bravia 65" TV. I had to upgrade my Blue Ray Player because I purchased an Ulta 4K Top Gun Maverick DVD. This Sony UBP-X800M2 4K HD Blue Ray Player is awesome! I saw this Top Gun Maverick at the Regal theater and on the Sony Blue Ray player, it was almost like at the theater!

This has been a great player for me so far. It is the second Sony Blu-ray player I have owned and treats me well. The picture quality is excellent and the DVD upscaling is impressive. I recommend this to anyone who still uses physical media. We are a dying breed, Forever physical!

This is the first bluray player I have ever had. It works good and the picture quality is amazing. The 4k looks great!!

I owned a 4K player before this one. It was also highly rated. This one is far better. The colors are rich and bright, there are far fewer motion artifacts when watching an upscaled movie. The sound is bright and clear. Separation of dialogue is better by far. I thought that had nothing to do with the player, I was wrong. I highly recommend this unit if you want top value in a mid-price range ultra Blu-ray player.

The player is great and comes with Dolby vision which the previous model did not. Easy set up with a Sony 4K tv. Awesome player for the money.
