Fantastic image and sound quality. Exactly what I wanted in a player. Simple interface. I dont have fo navigate through a bunch of menus dedicated to streaming services. I have a Roku for that. I wanted this specifically for my discs.

This blue ray player operates quietly and it’s controls work quickly. It upscales blue ray discs and dvds, most blue ray players don’t upscale standard dvds. When I played a dvd or Netflix, the picture would have a blue tint (blue rays work perfectly) and with a few hours of trying I ended up having to change the video output to 1080p ( deep in the menu). For some reason that solved the problem.

Works great! Easy to operate. Looking forward to getting 4k TV so I can enjoy my 4k movies.

Works very good. Bought this to replace my xbox one s. The xbox was not playing certain 4k discs. The player works great, the movies sound better. The only thing I would have to nit pick is, when playing Dolby Vision content, you have to exit the movie go into the menu and manually turn on Dolby Vision. Then when you are going to watch something other than Dolby Vision content, you have to make sure Dolby Vsion is turned off otherwise the picture brightness is overblown.

The picture this unit provides in 4K is fantastic. It also upscales non-4K DVD's to look sharper. Easy set up menu.

Oh my goodness this player is simply AWESOME! It has all the apps we utilize including Amazon Prime. It was easy to connect to our devices. Yes, it was more expensive than other economical blu ray players, but well worth the money. We anticipate having this unit for several years!

I originally purchased the LG UBK90 because at the time it was the only reasonably priced player with Dolby Vision...kept freezing up and jumping frames...I took it back to Best Buy and got a replacement...same issues so I took the second one back and I saw Sony had a new player(UBP-X800M2) that supported Dolby Vision and HDR 10...I took this as a replacement and it lived up to Sony expectations...Great player with no issues...I am very pleased with this unit...only 3 apps, but I have all the apps I need on my TV...

I replaced an 80q Samsung (see seperate review of that set), this picture is incredible and the colors are vibrant. Not too many adjustments are needed to make you feel like your in the movies or at the game. Should have bought this one first, live and learn.

Fast loading, excellent upscaling of blu ray disks. Solid build quality. Bought a second one because I like it so much!

Bought it open box, It visibly looked new. Watching Blue Ray or 4K disks on a non 4k TV was noticeably better picture than watching Bluy ray on same TV. The blue tooth feature connected easily to my Bose solo speaker. Very happy with my purchase, now I just have to wait for the Sony TV i want to go on sell.

Really enjoyed the EZ use of the remote and how to set everything up. I hooked it together with my new cords and the quality is very well achieved.

Purchased in 2005 a Best Buy Pioneer DVD in Orlando. In fear of not being able to buy a new DVD, I purchased the Sony 4K Blu-Ray from Best Buy. I LOVE IT...CAN HEAR AND SEE BETTER. MY OLD DVD'S LOOK BETTER. THANK YOU SO MUCH SELLING IT.

Great for 4K movies but to streaming through adding additional apps other than the limited ones it already comes with, such a miss on this one because it is one of the few players with 2 HDMI outputs one for video and one for audio. Nice work around if you have an old receiver but a new tv

I love the new features, the slick design, and the easy set up, the picture quality is outstanding, Sony is the only way to go

Bought this about a year ago, and it’s been solid ever since. So much so that this is my second one for another room. Easy to use, and integrates wonderfully with my TV and sound system.

I love this 4K bluray player. I bought a 2nd one because one day these will be fazed out so had to have an extra because physical media is king while streaming is trash

I finally purchased an LG OLEDTV and waiting to have it delivered and installed. The Sony 4K blue ray player is still in the box. I didn’t want to use it until I got a new tv. The other TV’s were not smart TVs. I could have used it since it is a smart 4K blue ray player but I didn’t. Can’t wait for my tv to be installed. Wish I didn’t have to wait until the second week in February to get it installed. I bought it a week ago. But I never had a bad Sony product !

Great player, real easy to use. It mates flawlessly with 4K Sony TV.
