I’ve had good service from their products in the past and I found this model had features that would take me into the future. I find Sony’s intuitive to use and so far every feature I’ve tried has performed as expected.

TV recognized it as a Sony Bluray Player (with the correct model X800M2). The Sony XBR (2019) OLED TV remote can control this device (where applicable - Bluetooth Remote may be required). Movie Quality is great. Streaming Media - DLNA Client - works well; however, the sorting of movies, does not work for me (I have 700 movie titles, and I have to hunt for directories because they do not appear first like it does on Samsung).

It has all the apps we utilize including Amazon Prime. It was easy to connect to our devices. Yes, it was more expensive than other economical blu ray players, but well worth the money. We anticipate having this unit for several years!

Watching Blue Ray or 4K disks on a non 4k TV was noticeably better picture than watching Bluy ray on same TV. The blue tooth feature connected easily to my Bose solo speaker. Very happy with my purchase, now I just have to wait for the Sony TV i want to go on sell.

Mediocre, poor quality

Sony said that was just too bad and wouldn't pay to fix. Interface is dated and streaming is limited to Netflix basically. Won't be buying another from Sony.

Picture and sound quality are awesome. I was drawn to the excellent build quality and solid chassis unlike some cheaper "plastic-y" alternatives from other brands. It also plays all discs (movies and music) I've thrown at it. Price is right for the features and build quality. I would definitely purchase again.
