The best 4K player in this price range, got a good deal during thanksgiving, the picture quality is amazing and the sound is fantastic, go for it

Well built and rugged steel chassis. It is very fast and quiet to load both Blu-ray and UHD discs. Great value for the money. Simple and easy to setup. Very well laid out remote control with a well laid out "easy setup" screen when turned on for the first time.

I was pleasantly surprised with the heft of this player. It felt every bit as substantial and sturdy as my OPPO player. Installation and set-up was smooth and without issue. The performance of the player was flawless and stunning. Both the audio and video was impressive. I would highly recommend this UHD player!

I got this because I wanted to be able to SACD and DVD-A. Blue-Ray movies were a second consideration because we get most of our content from AppleTV. CD players have become insanely expensive and brands like Oppo that made fantastic devices are no longer producing disc player. Works good as an audio player hooked up to a receiver. The only connection is HDMI, no analog so it cannot be hooked up to a two channel analog stereo kit for CD use.

Very good quality. Very easy to set up. Resolution is great.

I should have purchased the Sony unit before I purchased another brand. The picture quality the best. Even the multi channel sound is so much better from the Sony unit than the other 4K player. There is one little odd feature is that you have to manually select Dolby Vision from the menu. Other than that feature< I ave not problems wit this very good 4K player.

It’s a great buy for its price! You can’t go wrong with this player if you want to save money. It is comparable to the Panasonic 820. You would not be able to tell the difference between the video quality.

I only have a few discs now but after getting a 4K TV I wanted to have a 4K Bluray player. Since my TV is Sony (X950G) and this player is Sony, they work well together, but it will work with any TV. The picture quality is breathtaking and the operation is decent given the limitations of discs. The build quality is SOLID if that matters to you. Basically silent operation.

Love this player. Makes my DVDs/Blurays look amazing. Haven’t tried a true 4k UHD disc yet, but my other formats look great! Still have trouble with the dialogue being too quiet at times and the loud scenes being overly loud. I’ve tried every setting with no luck. It’s annoying to keep turning the volume up and down, but that’s what we do.

This is a great product and I have enjoyed using it since January 2021. The only thing that I do not like was that this model does not have as much of the ROM software as it's predecessor model UBP X800. Overall, it continues to keep the legacy of Sony's reputation will earned in the market. Compare it's capabilities and specs with other 4k players.

I'm very satisfied with this unit. I see a major different in my bluray movies it up grades the quality of my Blu ray movies. I see an improvement on my 4k movies as well. I like the remote control as well having the Netflix right there. I also like the built in apps such as Amazon prime so I can watch my movies. the sound being processed by the unit is excellent.
