High Quality Blu-Ray player

Only drawback is since I have an old receiver, I can't connect the audio output from the player because it doesn't have RCA connectors. Audio output is via an HDMI connection which my old receiver doesn't have.

Great Product

This is a huge improvement. It’s fast to respond to input, loads the movie quick. We’d buy this again.

Nice to hear my small collection of DVD-Audio discs again. Looks great, quiet, quick & smooth action.

Sony Music to My Ears

It and my 4K Sony TV make my old DVDs look better than I thought was possible. The blu-ray player even makes my CDs sound great.

Volume control issue

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you have a Sony Sony - STRDH790 receiver, don't expect the volume control on the Blu-Ray remote to directly control this receiver volume. I was able to get the Blu-Ray remote to control the TV volume, which in turn was able to control the amp volume via the HDMI cable. It does do a good job playing my 4k discs,
