So far so good. Great 4k picture quality and quite operation & good upscaling, know there is limited app access if that’s important to you. Somewhat difficult to get everything setup if your not tech savvy (what settings should be chosen based on your tv/setup).

Then they went from Japan to China and the quality suffered. But it seems China is learning how to improve the quality, so this was a good quality purchase.

No lag on interface and crystal clear picture. 4 stars as I have initially experienced freezes. I can’t say for sure yet if it’s the player or the movies. Will update after more use.

I bought this 4K capable DVD player because of the Sony name and quality. It was a good value and priced competitively.

Planning on shipping back for service. Bought this one in the meantime. The picture looks identical to the ES model as well as the sound.
