Yes, having to turn Dolby Vision on/off manually is really annoying, but I knew that before purchasing the player. The biggest surprise is how great standard blu-rays look - the best image upscaling I’ve seen, and miles ahead of anything my previous entry-level LG was capable of. My main gripe is that I’ve already had one instance of the player freezing, which requires unplugging the machine.

The video quality and sound quality doesn't miss a beat. Every bit as good as the one I replaced.

Good While it Lasted

We only watched a couple dozen movies on it; movies with Dolby Atmos, like Top Gun Maverick, etc. It just quit working; won’t turn on, eject, etc. I knew it wouldn’t be used much so I didn’t get an extended warranty. I guess that was a mistake. I’ going to try a Pamasonic this time.
