I’ve been using the device for my job and I have very little to complain about when it comes to this recorder. The sound quality, connected to a computer or headphones, is crystal. The quality is fair but the USB connector feels flimsy. Overall, I am a big fan of this recorder but someone could buy the model lower in price and still be happy.

This Sony digital recorder has an amazing number of features for its size. It really pays to look at the operating manual available on-line. The recordings of meetings with 8 or more people around a large table are quite clear and the transcribe function allows you to fast forward or go back to points of interest. Recording events are filed by date automatically and you can develop the filing to a higher level of organization if you desire. I am very happy with this purchase.

I thought the quality of sound would be much better for the price. Doesn’t block out noise like I thought it would, I cannot tell a difference from my cheap previous version no name brand recorder. Still works great though.

I am very happy that I purchased this recorder. I use it for work meetings on a routine basis. You can hear people presenting across the room. The features are outstanding. Good sound, listen back feature in the transcription mode saves me a lot of time. Also, to recharge just plug into a computer USB Port. I would highly recommend the Sony -UX Series Digital Voice Recorder.

Love the recorder. Only negative is that it isn't compatible for downloading audio files to the mac. I thought that I read in the advertisement for the recorder, it worked with macs, so am disappointed on that front. Otherwise great recorder.

I have purchased four recorders over the last decade and I find the Sony’s to be the most reliable. I rolled the dice on this model because I prefer to use AAA batteries to power the unit. This particular model comes with a non replaceable battery like a modern smart phone. The recorder sounds great upon playback and the battery lasts a long time. I am happy with my purchase.

The Sony recorder records very clear audio and the controls are exttemely easy to understand.
