This makes an excellent travel lens for the A7rii. It ends up being a 24-105mm and the combined weight and size are very appealing. The resulting images are 18mp, which is plenty for most applications.

There seems to be quality control issues because I was not able to mount it to the sony a6300. It the aperature blades were not working.

As I was researching the pros and cons of this lens, many said what I have now concluded: if you can afford it it's worth it. I'm not sure why it's so expensive but I suspect in the years to come I'll remember the quality of the photos and not the price. It's got a pop, an oomph, a wow that makes me feel like I'm heading in Ansel Adams territory. If you enjoy standard photography and aren't trying to push your photographic skills I wouldn't recommend it. But I'm trying to learn as much as I can and with this tool I feel like I can do many fun things. Sorry for the lack of tech talk but you can find that anywhere. I think it's more of an emotional thing.
