The only choice in Sony wide angle zoom

I recently switched from Nikon to Sony and having had the the Nikon 14-24mm, I wanted something comparable for my A7R for my landscape needs. This lens fills that need very well and has a more useable zoom range. It's a stop slower but not an issue with the sensitivity of the latest sensors being produced. Very sharp with minimal distortion.

So I had to sell my soul and quit my job to be able to afford this lens but it was all worth it 10/10 . On a real note this lens is completely worth it and very sharp

I'm a professional real estate photographer and recently switched to Sony. This lens is perfect for what I shoot. It's attached to my a7II and the images are super sharp with well controlled flair and distortion. My clients have noticed a change for the better in all my work. I'm very pleased with the results I am getting with this great lens.

With both lens stabilization and camera sensor stabilization deactivated, this lens is sharp and consistent at all focal lengths. On occasion with both stabilization systems active I get some softness in the corners at 16mm due to the sensor/lens elements moving outside of their ideal placements for sharpness to correct for perceived camera movement, so I find it’s best to shut those systems off unless I’m shooting hand-held at very low shutter speeds.

I bought this lens to pair up with my a7iii and this thing kills it! Its ridiculously sharp and even though it's only an f4 lens, paired up with the a7iii's super awesome lowlight performance and hi iso capabilities it's a perfect match!

Fantastic Lens used for both my a7c and a6600 for our YouTube cooking show The Felix's. Joys of Cooking. Three lenses for everything, and this one defiantly is a must-have. This lens is great for stills and videos.

Great Wide Angle Zoom Lens for Sony E Mount

I bought this lens right before a trip to New York and it performed amazingly. The OSS was very handy for run and gun shooting. Also the lens was very sharp from 16mm to about 28mm. Even at 35mm I consider it to be acceptable, just not as sharp as the lower focal lengths. The build quality is amazing. This lens performs well at f4 but phenomenally at f8.

I shoot a Sony a7r, primarily for seascape and landscape work. I've found that the FE16-35 is best from 16-28, and quite good from 28 on out to 35. It's built well and has the resolving power to take advantage of the a7r's sensor. Highly recommended.

I purchased this zoom nearly two years ago and it stays on my camera more than any other lens I own. I find it particularly well-suited for landscape, architecture, and real estate photography (even some street photography), with beautiful color rendering, contrast, and sharpness all the way to 35mm that rivals many primes. 16mm is more than wide enough for me 98% of the time, and I make use of the entire focal length. It’s not the smallest or lightest lens, but it feels great in the hand and very well balanced on my A7rii. Sony also has a heavier and more expensive 2.8 G Master option worth considering, but I absolutely love the images I get with my Sony/Zeiss f4 and don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything at all. It’s a big winner for me and a big favorite for sure.

As title states, this is a great lens but pretty heavy due to metal body. Solid construction awesome glass . Considering I paid $300 more only a couple years ago for this is quite a downer to say the lease. At the price it’s at now it’s a great value.

This lens is tack sharp and a great range at 16-35mm. I actually have this on my camera (sony a7rII) most of the time. Great quality and sharpness. My only gripe is that it's an F/4. If this lens is a 2.8, it would get 5 stars for sure, F/4 seems a little dated especially at such a high price point.

I use this lens for both a walk around lens and when I shoot video reviews in a small space. This lens is incredible. I use to carry just a 24-70mm as my walk around but lately I've been finding myself reaching for this lens more and more. If want to capture the feelings of a place wide is the way to go. Also, I shoot many of my reviews in a small room so using a narrower lens won't do. This lens really helps me capture just what I need. The quality of the photos and video are awesome!

I have the Canon 16-35mm F4 IS and these are equally sharp and the image stabilization works great for handheld or video work. If you aren't invested heavily in other glass and own a Sony E mount it's a gem of a lens and worth the money!

I was skeptical of purchasing this lens. But I was absolutely wrong in every way. The lens is great at F/5.6 and all the way up to F/22. If there is any correction required, Lightroom takes care of it. The lens is well built with a solid sturdy ring which provides a wonderful feel when you hold it. The pictures are outstanding and there is so much to do with it. Highly recommended!!!

Perfect Lens for Real Estate Photography

I got this lens trying to get a wider angle for Real Estate Photography, and I couldn't be happier with it. The distortion is hardly noticeable and easily fixable in light room with the built in lens profile. For this price point as a full frame lens, you can't beat it. Of course, you can never go wrong with Zeis.

This is a fantastic lens with a very wide capability at 16mm. Its Zeiss glass so it is super clear and crisp. Its a nice and compact lens as well so its easy to lug around. I use this when I know I need to stay close up to a subject and capture a lot of picture. The only issue is that it is a relatively slow lens at f4. So I know sometime I need to have a flash with it.
