Very Sharp and Light-weight Lens

In my opinion it is every bit as sharp and much lighter. There is not much difference between F 2.8 and F 4; certainly not enough difference to warrant the almost $900.00 price increase.

Great Wide Angle Lens

Overall it feels and looks like a high quality lens by Sony. I also have the 10-18 mm wide angle and compared to this lens there is a big difference. If you are looking for something that is light weight then the 10-18 mm is for you. If you want better glass and high quality workmanship the 16-35 is great.
