Hi Matt, we're glad you like our product. For the noise canceling function to be fully effective, select the earbuds that fit your ears the best, and wear the headset correctly. SONY provides different sizes of earbuds to obtain the best fit and prevent the headsets from falling out. The earbud will be easier to slide deep into your ear if you pull up on the top of the ear lightly while twisting the headset. ~Earl

Bad fit.
Like the AirPods Pro I wanted to like these. Sound was great for music. During phone calls it would often beep like it was dropping connection for a second before reconnecting. Also, I could not achieve a good in ear fit regardless of the tip used and they would fall out.

The communication between the devices will be poor if there is an obstruction between the unit and the connected device. Try the following:

• For Bluetooth connection issue: The WF-1000XM3 has a new Bluetooth chip and an optimized antenna design to provide a stable connection for hours of wireless streaming. To ensure you get the best Bluetooth connection, please set the headphones Bluetooth Connection Mode to “Priority on stable connection”

-Change the position or location of the unit or connected device.
-If the connected device has a cover on it, take it off to improve the communication distance.
-If the connected device is in a bag or in a pocket, try moving the position of the device.
-Place the devices closer together to improve signal transmission

• Signal interference may occur when a Wi-Fi device is in use near the unit if they both use the same 2.4 GHz frequency band. To resolve the issue, try the following:

-Turn off the Wi-Fi function of the connected device.
-If a Wi-Fi device is in use near the unit, turn off its Wi-Fi function or use the device at least ten meters away from the unit.
-Use the unit as far away as possible from a microwave oven, ticket gates, other Bluetooth devices, or places that generate electromagnetic radiation.

• If the issue still occurs, please make sure that your headphones are running on the latest firmware version. The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements.

As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience. Follow the steps below to isolate the issue.

- Using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, you can customize the Equalizer setting and change the assignment of the functions to the touch sensors of both the left and right units . For example, the music playback function that is assigned to the touch sensor of the right unit in the factory setting can be changed to the touch sensor of the left unit.
Note: You cannot operate the touch sensor when not wearing the headset. If you change the setting on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app so that the headset does not turn off by the automatic power off function by wearing detection, you can operate the touch sensor even when not wearing the headset.

When the Adaptive Sound Control is set to On, the Headphones Connect app detects your action and adjusts the setting of the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control. The notification sound tells you the moment when the setting changes.
