HD noise-cancelling processor QN1e
Having caught the surrounding sound, the dedicated processor gets to work. It not only cancels much noise across almost all frequencies, but also uses little power.
Dual Noise Sensor technology
The dual microphones, one feed-forward and one feed-back, on the surface of the headphones catch many ambient sounds nearby, whether it's in-flight noise, city traffic, or office chatter.
Exceptional sound quality
Sony's multitalented QN1e combines digital noise cancellation, 24-bit audio signal processing, and a digital-to-analog converter with headphone amplifier.
Truly wireless design
Just your music, with no wires to get in the way.

On a full charge, the headphones offer 6 hours of power, and the convenient charging case provides further three charges to keep you going throughout the day.

Perfect for TV shows, movies and more
The advanced wireless connection on WF-1000XM3 synchronizes what you see on your smartphone or tablet's screen precisely with what you hear on your headphones for enjoyable viewing.
Earbuds stay snug and secure
The high-friction rubber surface keeps the noise-cancelling earbuds in your ear, so they won't slip out unexpectedly.
Ergonomic tri-hold structure
These noise-cancelling earbuds are ergonomically designed to make contact with three different points on your ear for a safe, comfortable fit.
Easy-to-use magnetic charging case
Put your headphones back into the charging case, and they'll nestle into place with a satisfying snap owing to the magnetic interior. The USB Type-C cable helps recharge the case quickly and easily, ready for another day's listening.

Premium Design, Sound and Feel at a Discount Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony - WF-1000XM3 True Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphones - Black have great sound quality, a helpful, feature rich and intuitive app, and premium feeling build quality. The design requires that the ear buds be pushed deep into the ear canal and the form factor is on the large side. Despite the size, the WF-1000XM3 do not feel particularly heavy during use. As a result, any ear fatigue may be more likely caused by the choice of silicone ear tips with respect to the size of the individual ear canal. One technical issue that I have experienced periodically and usually just during the initial phase of use is a slight one or half second pause in the left earbud. This could be due to the noise cancelling feature residing predominantly in the left earbud, or a pause caused by maintaining a connection to the source device and right earbud simultaneously. With that said, each earbud can be used independently, and that's good for providing extended use and overall convenience. The case is large, but it's understandable given the sized of the earbuds and the battery life offered. I have been able to listen on an off for extended periods of time between recharges although I have not officially experienced any heavy or all day use days so far. Wireless charging is not an option with this case that charges solely via USB Type C. I would describe the call quality as average since sometimes calls were characterized by ample static interference and other times the my voice and that of the person on the line appeared to transmit more clearly. The ambient noise feature is interesting considering the controls within the app considering the combination passive and active noise cancellation capabilities this product offers. The passive and active ANC is impressive considering the fact that this and in ear as opposed to an over the ear model of True Wireless Earbuds. Overall, I am quite happy with my purchase at $158.00 for a premium set of true wireless earbuds with ANC features. At this price for this this product; I do not believe the buyer would be disappointed.

A top performer in wireless audio, but needs more
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the Sony WF-1000xm3 (quite a mouthful) for the past 3 weeks, and I am amazed with how much they were able to pack into such a small package. But, I was also disappointed with other aspects of the product. Pro's: The active noise cancellation is good for background noises, like a fan spinning on full speed, up to the sound of a car passing by, but with just noise cancelling alone, you won't cut out a lot of noise, but when paring with most music, almost all background sounds disappear, unless a loud vehicle [passes by or a sudden noise occurs. The responsiveness of the touch controls are quick and snappy. The comfort of the earbuds with the stock tips are wonderful, but I found that using some ear tips like Dekoni's make these earbuds even more effective at blocking out noise. The built in microphone is good, with tons of clarity. The case feels premium, with a nice opening hinge, and a nice matte black exterior that is smooth, but easy to grip onto. The battery life available with the earbuds is long with ANC on, and by the time the battery would wear out, I'm already done with listening to music or a podcast. The Bluetooth (5.0) is wonderful, and makes latency almost near impossible to notice, giving experience for watching movies. Cons: The earbuds and their case, are fingerprint magnets, and if you really love having a pristine look to your earbuds and your case, you will always need something to wipe them down. The case's top piece (the one that opens up and closes) is easily damaged. When I was working, I put the case in my pocket for safe keeping, and after a 6 hour shift I saw that the shiny coating of gold was damaged. (Note, the top piece did not have any scratches in it) The app that you must download to use these earbuds, is only compatible with phones, tablets, and the like. I have not been able to discover a way to connect these tips to my computer, which saddens me, because I would like to be able to use these earbuds with any device. The microphone, since it is so clear, will pick up everything else around you. The right earbud at times cannot act alone, without the left one out. For example, today I took the right earbud out as to listen to some music, while having my left ear open for anything else, and when I tried to play some music by tapping the right side once, the music wouldn't begin, even though my phone was connected to the earbud. The music only began after I took the left earbud out, and let it go through its startup program. The sound: As far as Bluetooth goes, these are on the higher end of Bluetooth audio. The sound signature given by these earbuds is more focused on treble, with nice undertones of bass, but more so as a tint of bass. With bass heavy songs, these earbuds failed to give the experience I was looking for, but for songs dealing with vocals, instrumentals, and the like, these earbuds excelled! Overall, if you are looking for a nice pair of Bluetooth to take with you on the go, these are the buds for you, where you can have ANC to cut out annoying people, and an ambient sound option, if you ever need to hear those people! But, if you are looking for the best audio out there, you should stick to wired.

Great sound quality and features!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these earbuds a few weeks ago and they’ve been great. Ill start with the cons: they’re a little screwy when you try connecting with multiple devices, they have issues when connecting to my pc (sometimes only sound will work sometimes only mic, others have had this issue as well), and they fall out with heavy movement after a while. However, I am giving them five stars as they do everything they’re supposed to (and more) when using them with a mobile device- the sound quality is amazing for wireless buds (great but not overpowering bass, crisp treble and mellow mids, there are rarely any connection issues, they fit well and are very comfortable (however you start to feel it after a few hours), the noise cancelling works very well, and the app for them is full of features. You can get the sound exactly how you like it with the equalizer. Overall, I doubt you can find a better sounding earbud with more features than these, great for everyone except if you plan on heavy workout sessions.

Great in almost every way
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL:DR If you have the money and want great all around wireless earbuds with a long battery life and that’ll stay comfortable the whole time you’re wearing them, buy these. Just don’t expect much from the built in microphone or the bass response I just recently bought these earbuds and may I say this is the single best headphone purchase I have ever made. I have been through countless numbers of earbuds trying to find ones that would work the best for me but I could never find any that worked for me. I personally use the foam ear tips that come included (thank you Sony) in the box. These successfully block out every bit of unwanted sound. The only issue I have with this pair of earbuds is the microphone. Any time I try to take phone calls o just repeatedly get told that the person on the other end can’t hear me but that is the only issue I have.

Sony WF-1000xm3
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was between these, the 2nd generation Apple AirPods, and the beats model that are comparable. I went with these at the recommendation of the sales rep. “Get these! Sony is known for their dominance in sound quality” To my surprise, they actually sounded fantastic. They’re comfortable, the noise cancellation setting works incredibly, and THANK GOD….they actually stay in your ear without wrapping around your ear entirely like some of the “fitness oriented” models. Not going to lie -these things also strangely never die. I charged the case with the earbuds inside them once and I didn’t have to charge them again for a week. Wow. That being said, I do return them to charge in the case every time I’m done with them (as you should). The case holds an extra 10 plus house is extra charge in them. After trying them for 2 days in comparison to the Apple AirPods (2nd gen), for the price 150 versus 200, I’d go with the Sony’s.

Noise cancelling without the heat!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Typing this up, I realized that I have a problem. To date, I own Bose Soundsports, Bose quietcomfort 35, Apple AirPods, and I just returned the Jabra Elite 65t (my least favorite). I have all of these because each serves a purpose; gym, travel, business calls. Before purchasing the Sony WFs I used my Bose quietcomfort for a lot of business travel. Great headphones but walking from the plane to the meeting was stressful if I didn’t comb my hair because of the indent from the headband. Also, my ears would be warm from the cups covering my ears on long flights. Don’t get me wrong, they are wonderful. But I decided to splurge a little and try these Sony earbuds. Jabra failed me (uncomfortable) and the AirPods Pros have a short life cycle. These Sony earbud give me the best of all worlds. Great sounding, small, comfortable earbuds with Insane noise cancellation. Setup can be a little easier but not difficult enough to register as a real negative. Of all my headphones, these are the champions.

Amazing audio quality
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These have amazing sound. Bass is heavy but not too heavy, highs are crystal clear, vocals ring through. The ambient noise canceling works well; it drowns out background noise in the office, and almost (but not quite) gets rid of the noise on the train. Battery life is really, really good. Easy to find a good fit/seal with the many sizes of plugs that come in the package. There are two minor drawbacks. One, when on a call, the other party hears a lot of background noise, to the point where they can barely hear me over it in noisier places. I probably would not recommend these for someone who is on the phone a lot. Two, they don’t fit my ears perfectly; the plugs fit great and seal fine, but they put slight pressure on my tragi (the bits that hang out in front of the ear opening). They’re fine for a while, but after a couple hours or more it starts to get a little uncomfortable. Again, probably not the best earbuds for phone-first users. But if you’re wanting the best earbuds for listening to music, and want the ability to answer or make a call if the need arises, these are them.

Earbuds for the Professional
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds have a solid design and pair easily with the iPhone. I truly appreciate the ambient sound control. They’re a bit sensitive to motion if you turn on Adaptive Sound Control. I like the preset listening modes, particularly “Excited” which is perfect for how I like to listen to music. Battery life has been impressive. This earns a perfect score with sound controls added to the earbuds and water proofing.
