BEST SOUNDING EARBUDS

If you are looking for a clear and high sound quality sound these are the headphones for you. The battery lasts very long. The bass is outstanding especially, with the app. You can adjust the amount of bass or the type of sound you prefer.

Connection is not as good as xm4

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have XM4, picked up these the other day, it's comfortable than XM4, small size, glossy finish makes wasn't a good idea, connection still need to worked on a lot by firmware, nowhere near XM4 connectivity. But it's way comfortable then XM4, so keeping them.

Sony does not have good support so $600 in a year for headphones kind of sucks. I did buy the best buy warrenty this time so that wont happen again. These headphones are so good for work. The mircophone is unbeatable which is why I had to stick with this brand even though they are not my favorite. I work from home and these are needed for my meetings. They do fall out of my ears sometimes regardless of what size bud i put on them. The sound connect between my phone and computer also makes things hard. If i get one notification on either while listening to the other it switches over so i have to turn the bluetooth off of one because the app is hard to navigate and i cant find the auto connect to turn it off.

Good buy so far

After a very informative conversation with the rep, I decided go with these, and so far have not been disappointed. The sound is superb, they fit perfectly, and they hold up during intense workout sessions. Would highly recommend!

But when Sony recently sunsetted that model, I got a pair of these X5 Wireless earbuds to replace them. In general they are what I expected; good sound, good noise cancelling, and enough battery for about 2 days of all day use without charging. I really appreciated the app’s “fit test” feature to help you find the right size tips to get the best noise cancelling. While I still wish I could just get another pair of the really great wired buds sony used to sell, after using these daily for about a month I don’t regret buying them and overall they are definately the best pair of *wireless* earbuds I’ve ever used.

Good but some downsides

They work really well and I like the ability to customize the touch controls. I have three complaints though. First, the touch controls are way too sensitive. It’s very easy to accidentally turn off and on the noise cancellation. When my hair is wet, I can’t wear them since it just constantly pushes the buttons. Second, the noise cancellation is not great. There’s not a huge difference between when it is on and off. Third, the automatic “smart” noise cancellation that tries to recognize when you would want it on or off is backwards. It always turns off the noise cancellation when I’m in a noisy area, which is exactly when I need the noise cancellation more.

My first foray into wireless earbuds.

Connecting them is not perfect everytime is why I gave 4 stars. While mildly annoying not a deal breaker for me I world still recommend. Wish the PS5 would support them. I feel the battery life is also decent.

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using them for awhile, they sound good compared to other buds only down side I'd say is the bulkiness of them also they started to give me problems connecting properly I should say they do connect but I hear nothing come out of them at first I thought it could be my phone (pixel 7 pro) but I recently changed to a Samsung s22 and it has the same issue at times where I have to place it in the case for them to work (sometimes it takes several times) don't know if it was caused my an update I know they didn't use to have that problem at first. I'd say they're a good option if you plan to use them for awhile then just upgrade to the newer ones (that's what I did upgraded from the xm4s)

Best Quality for your Money!

Compared to the last iteration, the noise cancelling seems to have tighten up a bit. Not by much but enough to notice within an earplug environment. Each bud will last you 8hrs each. Would recommend if you're looking to upgrade.

Great headphones, dont work out with them

The foam tip earbuds are very comfortable and seal pretty well. Battery life is top notch. Ive tried the “AI” features and gone through the accompanying app for them. Don’t really care for the voice assistant that comes with them. It tries to listen to every word ans interrupts the music every few seconds when turned on. I definitely wouldn’t recommend these forntge gym especially if you’re planning on breaking a sweat. They fall out or the sweat messes with the seal on the earbuds. When it senses that the seal in your ears is broken then it pauses. They are not water resistant by any means. Every time i break a sweat with them on they start to glitch and perform random actions. They’re grwat for just listening to music but dont use them if youre very active or have the “smart” functions turned on. Probably wouldn’t buy these again if I had to.

Samsung buds & sony wf-1000xm5 comparison.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared to buds pro 2 both sound great but buds go little loud and the sony wf-1000xm5 have great base at low volume and seem to last longer then my bud pros but im looking to compare them to the apple pro earbuds and Google earbuds when ever i get the chance to get them but the sony wf-1000xm5 are alright if you have the cash for them but the Samsung buds are over all best on price and im always worried i will losee them so i keep my earbuds pro with me at work and sony ones at home or in my car

They’re ok

It’s frustrating when I mostly use my right headphone, but the controls that I use the most are on the left or vice versa. On the plus side, definitely much more comfortable than the Beats earbuds I owned. The foam-like texture of yhe earbud cover took me off guard and I’m curious about needing to purchase future replacements should the foam be mishandled by accident. It’s quite sensitive.

You can change the function assigned to the touch sensors on the left and right headset units using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. For example, you can change the music playback function which is assigned to the touch sensor on the right headset unit at the time of purchase to the touch sensor on the left headset unit. Quick Access can also be used on the headset unit with the touch sensor that has the noise canceling function and Ambient Sound Mode switching function assigned. In the factory settings, this function is assigned to the left unit.
