Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had previously owned the Link buds S those were great, noise cancellation was perfect, they were comfortable but they grew legs ditching me high & dry. So i got myself some of these and im happy. They are clear with balanced sound and bass. Noise cancellation is great. The earbuds tips are a type of foam so they seal the sound out. Battery life is great. Sony has always been superior in the audio department.

Qaulity ear buds

The foam ear piece tips are a little dense to help with noise reducion. However, I wish they were a tad softer, and easier to clean. They fit my ears well and dont seem to cause discomfort however I have not had them in for any extended period over an hour. I love the sony app that is used to opperate the EQ and other features. Battery life seems great, I have only had to charge once so far however I still havent had a large extended use them to determine overall battery life.

Great pair of headphones

I also use them for running and gym. They stay in my ears just fine, and the battery life is great. This is my third set, charging system gives out after about 2 yrs

Great sound but ergonomically challenging

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Sound reproduction is very good and I found a good fit with the cushions that were already on the buds when opening the charging holder, although this took a little effort to get a snug enough fit each time I tried using these earbuds. I tried using the other sized cushions, 3 different sizes, and none of them fit better. The Sony app was already installed on my phone as I already own the XM4 over-the-ear headphones, so it was no effort to add this device and choose settings. Cons: After wearing these for awhile, even with very comfortable cushions on the earbud tips, they began to hurt my ear canals. Same thing with wearing them to bed and trying to sleep on my side with them in which was mainly what I wanted to find out: Since I am a side sleeper, would these be comfortable enough to wear with my head turned either to the right or left on the pillow? They aren't. I could not find a comfortable position as, protruding out the ear, these are too bulky. (The Apple Air Pods 2 look like they might be better suited for this purpose and they'll be what I might try next.) Also, with these earbuds, the controls set up in both buds are difficult to master. I found myself having difficulty finding the exact right spot to tap and, of course, as one is adjusting them to fit better, you may be activating some of those controls inadvertently which I was doing often. The over-the-ear headphones are much more user-friendly as far as controls such as advancing to the next song or raising the volume. With these earbuds, however, it is much more of a challenge with their telling you to tap 1, 2, or 3 times. Of course, they allow you to custom control which earbud has which functions for people who are more right or left hand dominant but that mattered little to me when weighed against everything else.

As advertised, worth it for the sound

Fits well in ear for at least running, long distance as well. The earbud tips are ok, AZLA earbud tips works very well with these earbuds.

The size of headphones even with the case is not big. But because of the shape of the headphones and the way they are positioned in the case, they are difficult to take out and they can slip out of your hands.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the bests fit pro and I tried these and the price tag didnt justify what you are getting and I run just one ear bud alot (left) and with these you have to have both in to control them. Sound quality is good but for the money I feel as a whole they should be better but they are more compact than there predacesors and I dodnt have an issue getting them out of the case but they just werent for me personnaly but they arent a bad set of ear buds either.

We apologize if our WF-1000XM5 didn't live up to your expectations. This is certainly not the news we'd like to hear from you. Depending on the headset unit you are wearing, some functions may not be available in the factory settings. In this case, you can change the function assignments to the touch sensors using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.
Note:
In the factory settings, the music playback function is assigned to the right headset unit. When listening to music with one ear, if only the right headset unit is worn in your ear, use the touch sensor on the right headset unit to play music. If only the left headset unit is worn in your ear, operate the connected device to play music.
