Way better than my AirPods and these are definitely worth the money and definitely noise canceling headphones! I use them at work and they last all day and then some. I can still talk to people and hear them, and when I need to use a power tool, one tap on the left bud turns on noise cancellation. Laundry Resistant (Not recommended way to clean)

I will keep it simple. Couldn't find my earbuds. Looking everywhere. (Maybe need a last location on find my iPhone, just saying). Can't find them, :/ Next day doing laundry, went to the dryer and see my earbud sitting on the edge. Heartbroken, I went to charge them in the case. Lights are working, a glimmer of hope. Moment of truth, they work. Only thing that stopped working was my right earbud touch sensor doesn't respond anymore.

Regarding water resistance, the WF-1000XM5 earbuds have an IPX4 rating, which means they are protected against water splashing from any direction. It's impressive that your earbuds survived a trip through the dryer, although we recommend avoiding such situations to prevent potential damage. The touch sensor issue on your right earbud might be a result of the exposure to water and heat. For future reference, if your earbuds get wet, use a soft dry cloth to wipe off any water, remove the earbud tips, and shake the earbuds gently to remove any water from the sound conduits and microphone parts. These xm5 are the most compact. I love the size. Just wish the earbuds had a grippier surface. They are very slippery when handling.

The pairing process to Apple products is pretty clunky and kind of frustrating however, and Sony could do a better job at making the process more seamless. Once you pair these they sound really great. I'd say the AirPods Pro 2 sound just a little better than the Sony's, but I believe you can play around with the EQ settings in the Sony app to make it sound to your liking. Also, I believe these headphones and Sony headphones in general will preserve your hearing more than other brands, I have nothing to back it up, it's just from observation and my personal experience from using these Sony headphones and others. These are high-quality headphones and would recommend picking these up if you're in the market for in-ears.

They are a little bigger and have more features. One thing that happens too often is that the connection between the phone and earbuds breaks. Then when the phone rings, I have to reconnect the earbuds while the person waits. I use these mostly to listen to the TV when not on the phone.
