To help you get more listening time, we recommend trying these steps:
-Open the Sony | Sound Connect app and ensure your earbuds are running the latest software version.
-Features like DSEE Extreme, Speak-to-Chat, and Voice Assistant (Always-on) use extra power. Try turning these off in the app to see if battery life improves.
-If the drain persists, you can try resetting the earbuds using the instructions on our support page: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2963/v1/en/contents/TP1000783924.html

Great sound quality

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Personally I have been used lots of headphones, I love the sound quality and the noise cancelation is almost deafening, I love how I can customize the EQ, but my one issue with this headphone is microphone quality is sub-par. I have many people complain about my microphone during calls, and it forces me to change to speaker mode.

I went to a concert the music was not my jam. I popped in the earbuds and had my own personal concert while the rest of my group enjoyed the music. The buds filtered out the sound fron the concert but not the feel from the base. It was unbelievable how well the noise canceling worked. I would recommend these earbuds if money is not a concern.

Great earbuds

My only complaint is I wish battery life were slightly longer, and it has very intermittent connection issues.

To address the intermittent connection, please try navigating to the Sony | Headphones Connect app and changing the Bluetooth Connection Quality setting to Prioritize Stable Connection under the Sound tab, which often resolves minor dropouts. Major issues despite decent quality sound

But the technical issues are hard to ignore. The battery for each bud will drain at different rates. The playback cuts out randomly for a second or more sometimes, especially when moving. I had battery issues with the WF 1000XM4’s and got a full refund. When I ran into similar issues with this unit, Sony only offered me a replacement. If you have an iPhone, just get AirPod Pros. I am so disappointed with these that it made me consider returning my WH 1000 XM4s so I can escape Sony’s ecosystem, but I will hold off on that while they still work. For this price point, Sony should have done better.

However, the app is very complicated to navigate! It has way too many features. The worst part about the the design is the shiny material that they use for the earbuds. It is very slippery when you try to remove them from the case and even harder when you try to remove them from your ears. I really hate that part.

We're sorry you've been running into difficulty using the Headphones Connect app and you find the glossy texture make them harder to remove from the charging case. The WF-1000XM5 earbuds feature an improved, glossy texture and more luxurious feel that fit comfortably in your ears while keeping out external sounds. By downsizing the earbud body and optimizing the placement of the components, the earbud is now approximately 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the WF-1000XM4.

He loves the touch controls, wireless charging, and depth of sound and after losing a pair, we had to replace them because they are that good. Worth the money.
