After years of using Airpod Pros and not being all that impressed, I recently bought these Sony earbuds. What a huge difference! Sound quality is way better. They fit my ears better and are more comfortable. Great battery life. They also have a lot more sound customization than are offered on the Airpods. Highly recommend.

The sound is really good, could have stronger bass. The way it fits is really good doesn't fall out the ANC is super good, and it doesn't make your ear super itchy after a while.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro with Airpods Pro 2nd gen and an Google Pixel 9 Pro XL with the Sony XM5 earbuds. The Sony XM5 are really good in sound quality and with the EQ you can make the your own. Great bass, good mid-range and great highs. All I'm missing is volume, I use them for work in a really noise environment and they couldn't keep up. Noise cancelling is good but I still prefer my Airpods Pro 2nd gen. Were the Sony XM5 disappointed me was on the transparency mode, I was expecting the same clarity and openness of the Airpods Pro but that never happened. Sony XM5 earbuds are great in sound, comfort, Noise cancelling and lots of features on the app.

The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds are one of a kind. By far the best I’ve ever tried in terms of sound quality, ANC, comfort, and battery life. The foam ear tips are great and fit in really well inside of my ears, giving me a tight seal that isolates me from outside noises. The sound quality is one of the greatest I’ve ever heard on any flagship earbuds from other companies. Don’t even get me started on it’s features. The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds have this cool new feature called speak-to-chat which automatically pauses anything you’re listening to when you speak. This is one of the many features these earbuds have. In conclusion, the Sony WF-1000XM5, with it’s features and sound, make a great pick for people looking for their everyday pair of earbuds!

I have mostly used Sony earbuds. I had the Samsung something 3 pro. I could not get a good seal for best sound and noise cancelation. The 1000XM5's fit better and sound better. I liked some of the features of the Samsung 3Pro like voice commands to like, volume up/down, next song, etc. This is the 2nd pair of 1000XM5's I've owned The last pair was stolen. The XM5's though have a great fit with multiple tips, sounds great (even though.im mostly def in one ear) I can still register LOW low bass. So they still sound great.

These are the best ear bus i have ever had. The soft foam is better for comfort but harder to clean than the silicone ones. The actual battery life is approximately 6 hours. They have great sound quality and the app is pretty slick.

Not necessarily an upgrade if you're moving from the WF1000XM4, but if this is your first pair of premium true wireless earbuds you're getting some of the best of the best. They're small so they fit in your ears without feeling like they're hurting your ears. The sound quality is top notch with tons of EQ options. The noise cancellation is about the same as the WF1000XM4 but not quite as good as the Bose QC II and the Airpods Pro still have the best of the best in transparency mode quality. I was able to get a solid 7 and a half hours of battery with ANC and being able to get an hour back in less than five minutes of charging is amazing. A solid choice for people who love music.

The buds are a little bulky in my ear, and I sometimes feel like they're slipping out, no matter which tip size I use. Sound quality is top-notch, and the battery life is on par with what is advertised.

Very buggy out of the box but after a (lengthy) update they work perfectly. Excellent sound quality, unbeatable noise cancellation. Many features (that i dont use) but are available for those that want them. They have withstood much abuse and very rarely do they give me connectivity issues. Battery life is insane. They last an 8 hour work day with noise cancellation enabled. I cant complain

Fits the ear comfortably. Battery life is very good. Couldnt have asked for something better. Call quality is good. Found that it lags a bit but apart from that it is great !

Right off the bat I love the noise canceling features since i work at the airport and it gets really loud outside so they do come in handy. They also dont slip out of my ears and they have a really good battery life!

Good sound quality, quality build. The ear tips that come with the earbuds are very stiff and did not create a perfect fit, regardless of which size I picked. They offer softer ear tips, which you can order for free, but the process was needlessly tedious. The softer tips are much more comfortable, but still do not create the perfect fit according to the app.

Great earbuds. first snug and secure, the audio quality was amazing and crisp. Favorite ones yet, but preferred the design on the x4. These are light and i use them in the welding shop daily. Blocks almost all sounds around me when I'm not talking. Getting another pair tomorrow.

These are spendy but they work, they FIT, They are multipoint, LDAK is "lossless" for those of us who like to pretend we can tell the difference between high and master settings on TIDAL or other fancy streaming/download services. Not to mention, it is some dark magic that these phones can bump as hard as they do pushing this level of quality sound while having any decent battery life to speak of. Their app is one of, if not THE best of all the smartphone apps, especially among those that the app is required. There is one issue I cover at the end. The 360 Audio is great and not overcooked like so many companies who be like, "We aren't Dolby but, Hey look over there!" They are light-weight, low profile, have superb noise canceling (not as good as Bose, but Bose's offering in this category is a non-starter for SO many people not just me) and their sound profiles are amazing. Ah-MAZE-ing. They are even water resistant ALMOST as good as Samsung, just one IPX rating lower, and Samsung uses their ruggedness against water and dust as a major, and valid, selling point to make up for their other shortcomings. If you are in the $300 price range or considering it, Sony's model WFthehecktoolongmodelnumberXM5's are a lot like that nice, smart, but small and quieter kid who's dad has been teaching them Jiu-jitsu since before they could walk. They are awfully dominant at this premium price point. I am proud to have these and I am keeping until they fall apart. Ok, one thing I MUST say is REALLY bad but there is a super quick work around. Here it is: VERY serious issue. The APP is AMAZING and this won't bother some people but Sony is pretending they need a photo of your ears and head to optimize sound. I am not kidding. In a world where our data and likeness and voice and contacts and photos and on and on are everywhere, asking to take a photo of me in order to have access to use the $300 headphones you sold me is, pardon the pun, about as tone-deaf as a company could ever be. Now the work around is so easy they still get 5 stars. Just stick your hand or something in front of the camera and choose, "take photo manually." Then take two photos of your hand. The odds that there is ANY sound adjustment made between a photo of my fist and a photo of my actual ear is just not passing the smell test. This is so ridiculous it is hard not to call it nefarious but let's not assign malice where incompetence is available, Sony is not Alley-Ex TokTok, after all. They should have just put a photo of some ears and asked me to pick which ones mine most look like. Also their terms and conditions are 10,000 words and you must scroll through all of it. It basically says Sony will collect anything it can via these headphones and do whatever the heck it wants with whatever it can get. But so is everyone else and at least Sony is being honest about it. Once that is out of they way they are great. Really, go get these.

I normally do not like earphones and prefer headphones any day of the week, however in a work environment (at least mine) it's not always as convenient. Mostly due to comfort, ear irritation or generally much better sound from an overhead headphone. It is so important to have the proper size ear tip in these, it can't be said enough. The videos make it seam so easy of popping them in with a slight twist, however that's where I deduct a star as I have to twist back and forth to get good seal. With noise cancelling feature turned on, man you can hear almost feel when it's a proper seal tho, it's amazing. Normally most earphones irritate me after a couple hours of wear, but these are not the easiest to set inside your ear but once they are set they are good. They are not fitness buds, so any activity I'm sure will cause them to fall out but they are pretty snug. Sony's Noise cancelling is one of the best according to the experts and I believe it. I know Apple's is good too, however the sound quality is much much better on Sony's. There are two choices for ambient sound control Ambient sound (passthrough) Or noise cancelling( on) However, in the app, you can turn on another option that basically is (ambient sound control off) It says its supposed to save battery life quite a bit, (it does) and once again to my previous point, IF YOU HAVE A PROPER SEAL, it's basically noise cancelling ON due to the tight seal but you are saving battery. You do hear slight noises you wouldn't hear with NC on vs Off, like tapping your finger on desk, or basically echo's through your body, but it's pretty good I found heavy use, ( NC ON, volume+%80, constant pausing, skipping to last +- 4hrs before one side having low battery. However when the setting for ambient sound off, no NC is selected, I did an 8 hr day and around %40 battery left per side. Definitely worth checking out that option, remember it's not perfect but battery life is impressive Sony sounds great , with ear tips were easier to fit, but I guess you get a great seal. I bet these are amazing when traveling on plane cancelling out all the wind noise

Amazing earbuds! Love the bass and how clear these earbuds sound. They're also very comfortable to wear and they stay in my ears, even when i am working out with them.

these have a very comfortable lightweight fit . Their battery is super good and the only earbuds to not fall out of my ear.

They are amazing, Quality, sound quality, noise canceling and battery life are top notch on this things. The airpods pro 3 are now at this headphones level but its amazing apple too this long to catch up to these.
