Definitely water resistant

Just a little spot drying and all good. Though if you're smaller of stature these may be too big for your ear lobes to stay in.

Only reason im giving them 3 stars, besides that the App and all the features are amazing . I just just have time to be woried about one falling out at the gym for the price. For optimum fit and comfort, make sure that you are wearing the headphones properly. Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The most suitable size of the earbud tips for left and right ears may be different. The Sony Headphones Connect app will help you to determine which earbud tips suit you best to achieve the optimal noise canceling effect, sound quality, etc. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.

Very Bad Design

There is no grip to them. When on a call the person on the other end could hear weird distortion. The sound quality is poor and piercing despite working with EQ. They picks up sounds that it shouldn't, like a cash register beeping, that sound is made more prominent over the cashiers voice. I have had the Sony Link Buds for a long time - these have beautiful sound quality and you can get them out of the case.

To address the audio and call quality issues you described, we recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
1- The "piercing" sound or poor audio quality is often related to the fit or the earbud tips.
Use the "Determining the optimal earbud tips" function in the Sony | Sound Connect app. A proper airtight seal is essential for balanced sound and effective Noise Canceling.
Additionally, ensure your earbuds are updated to the latest version via the app, as firmware updates frequently include "Call Quality" improvements and tuning refinements.
2- If environmental noises like cash registers are being amplified over voices, your Ambient Sound Mode settings may need adjustment:
- Open the Sound Connect app and check your Ambient Sound Control settings. You can toggle "Focus on Voice" to help the microphones prioritize speech over high-pitched background noises.
- Adaptive Sound Control: If this feature is on, the earbuds may be switching modes automatically based on your location. Try disabling it to see if the sound remains more consistent.
3- Distortion during calls can sometimes be caused by wireless interference or a poor Bluetooth "handshake."
In the app, try setting the Service Link or Bluetooth Connection Quality to "Priority on Stable Connection."

Expected More for $300

However even though the audio is top notch the biggest issue with the line up remains. Inconsistent battery life where one of the buds has a disproportionately high battery life remaining vs the other. The worst part is its random which one. Honestly sony needs to overhall its software
