Amazing sound but weird fit

Regarding Fit: We understand that ear shape and comfort preferences are very personal. The WF-1000XM5 comes with unique noise-isolating ear tips in three sizes (S, M, L). We recommend trying each size to find the best fit, as ensuring a proper seal can greatly enhance both comfort and stability.

I can barely hear anything in the background. The fact that you can change the sound for differnt types of music/podcast makes all the difference. I HAD THE XM4 and the new XM5 sleek and much more comfortable fit makes these the best on the market

Fantastic sound quality, comfortable to wear, they fit very securely in the ear without worry of falling out. They are packed with features. Industry leading noise canceling but i think ANC has a ways to go with earbuds in particular. I very much appreciate these earbuds. For the premium price I'd have liked to have a nicer case for them though the case geels a bit plastic and cheap. But overall very happy with my purchase

Better than the great XM4!

They are lighter, more compact, fit in the ear more comfortably, and sound at least as good. The XM5's, like the previous model, simply sound better than any earbud I've ever had, and the app allows you to tailor them to your taste. I can't recommend them too highly!

Amazing pair but I miss my air pod pros

Best noise Canceling even on a plane... you cant go wrong with these but i will say the gesture control/touch controls arent great. Managable but very difficult to adjust volume from the buds. Not sure if it like that with most earbuds out there or what. I was an apple user for a long time then switched to the fold 7. Maybe im spoiled by apples air pod pros. I will say that its kimda shocking how long apple airpods have been out but yet its still very difficult to find something very close.... galaxy buds dont count in my eyes because the quality of sound and features are no where close. Overall before I turn the review into something else. Very solid pair of earbuds. Probably number 1 option when it comes to ANDRIOD users... wish the touch controls where abit better... especially with volume adjustment. Also if you get this on sale... easily one of the best buys(see what I did there) you can get

Better ANC and more comfortable, odd mode bug

The only issue I’ve had is using them to mow the lawn: the loud mower sound seems to periodically confuse them and I have to switch the mode back to noise-cancellation. I didn’t have that issue my xm4’s. Battery life is amazing for a small pair of earbuds.

Not Cheap, But Worth It

But age caught up with them and the right bud stopped working. After researching these Sony XM5s consistently came out on top. The build quality is what you'd expect from a pair of $300 earbuds. The memory foam ear tips are very snug yet comfortable and seal well in my ear. The sound is incredible. The difference from the Jabras is very apparent. Good, solid bass with treble response clear but not brassy. The earbuds simply give high quality sound across the rated audio range. Support for Spatial Audio or ATMOS provides an amazing listening experience. All in all these are by far the best earbuds I've owned and that includes a pair of Bose Free SoundSport. The noise cancelling is very adequate. I have no experience with Bose or Jabra to compare with. But, the one issue with using noise cancelling is motion. If you're working out, running, or even mowing the yard that motion drives noise cancelling crazy with very irritating scratchy sound. Touch controls are configurable with the phone app. This is also where you can disable noise cancelling and Ambient Audio. The software also offers several other parameters to configure such as tone and balance.

Amazing sound, audio cuts out a lot

The big problem with these are that they cut out badly, if I move around with them in my ears they start cutting ou sometimes losing audio for a few seconds at a time. This issue happens when they're connected to my apple watch, apple tv, MacBook and iphone. I go for a walk or really exercise with these because they cut out so badly. I understand that I can't adjust the ldac with iphone but this is ruining my experience with these. I also have it set to prioritize Bluetooth connection over sound quality on the app.

Solid so far

Great noise cancelling and usually comfortable enough to use them for a couple hours. Battery life is plenty for me (at least 2 hours). I'm a bit worried about long-term durability because I had the last model (4) and a battery failed in less than 2 years of moderate use. We'll see how they do in the next couple years.

Best pair of earbuds Ive ever owned

They charging case supports wireless charging and they feel very comfortable and snug nicely in the ear. They arent the easiest to put in and take out but once you get used to it, they’re well worth the price. Would definitely recommend. Loved my soundsports before these but like these a little more.
