Good overall earbuds. Battery life is good. Sound quality and noise cancellation is great.

Much improved ANC, and definitely smaller and more comfortable than my WF-1000mx4’s. The only issue I’ve had is using them to mow the lawn: the loud mower sound seems to periodically confuse them and I have to switch the mode back to noise-cancellation. I didn’t have that issue my xm4’s. Battery life is amazing for a small pair of earbuds.

I've had a pair of Jabra Elite Active 75t earbuds for a few years and was satisfied with them. But age caught up with them and the right bud stopped working. After researching these Sony XM5s consistently came out on top. The build quality is what you'd expect from a pair of $300 earbuds. The memory foam ear tips are very snug yet comfortable and seal well in my ear. The sound is incredible. The difference from the Jabras is very apparent. Good, solid bass with treble response clear but not brassy. The earbuds simply give high quality sound across the rated audio range. Support for Spatial Audio or ATMOS provides an amazing listening experience. All in all these are by far the best earbuds I've owned and that includes a pair of Bose Free SoundSport. The noise cancelling is very adequate. I have no experience with Bose or Jabra to compare with. But, the one issue with using noise cancelling is motion. If you're working out, running, or even mowing the yard that motion drives noise cancelling crazy with very irritating scratchy sound. Touch controls are configurable with the phone app. This is also where you can disable noise cancelling and Ambient Audio. The software also offers several other parameters to configure such as tone and balance.

Good, no problems so far. Great noise cancelling and usually comfortable enough to use them for a couple hours. Battery life is plenty for me (at least 2 hours). I'm a bit worried about long-term durability because I had the last model (4) and a battery failed in less than 2 years of moderate use. We'll see how they do in the next couple years.

Unlike most users, I maximize my earbuds for work, all-day use, focused on calls. Ever since Jabra left the US market, i had been on a hunt for a proper replacement. Unfortunately Sony doesn’t have a solution. Pros: Sound Quality, both for music and calls. Noise Cancellation, Hear-Through is world class. Battery Life, gets me through the day. Surrounding Noise Sensors are world class. Cons: Janky Sony App, feels like it was created by kids. Haptic Touch Buttons, rarely works. No Voice Confirmation for actions. No Mute for Calls (dealbreaker). Overall, if you want the best sound, clearest phone conversations, and best sensory technology, these are the best in the business. Just the cons outweigh the pros for me.

bought these when my airpod pros broke on me. I already have the Sony over the ear headphones the 4th generation model and was sold on Sony as the superior sound over apple. these are awesome for working out and the fit is more comfortable and the bass is so much better. recommend to anyone who is looking for gym earbuds

Sony earbuds sounds great love how they sounds fits great in my ears an there not heavy really did feel them in your ear but you feel them after 3hrs of wearing them i like that it comes with a app for your phone so you adjust the settings. To make them sound better i have them over a year an there still sound great would buy them again

I usually buy JBLs on sale every year for different purposes. They're solid and they sound nice. Apple Beats are nice as well, but abit overpriced. Samsung earbuds sound nice, but they don't last. So it was time to try Sony earbuds. Alright, using the sound connect software I was able to get the equalizer the way I wanted, and voice control working in a reasonable fashion. Again, they sound nice, are they the best sounding earbuds I've heard? No, higher end JBLs sound better, but these do sound better than my Apple Studio Beats earbuds. Now onto the negatives. Like I mentioned, these sound good, but only as good as JBL Tune 235s which sounds great BTW. Better than my JBL Endurance 2 earbuds. They sound better than my Beats, but not as good as my JBL Live 2 Free TWS. Those are about $110 cheaper on sale compared to the Sony WF1000XM5s. Summary: Overall build quality seems nicer on the Sony's WF1000XM5 compared to JBLs. Honestly, they're the 2nd best overall just right behind my JBL Live Free 2 TWS. All important question, are these worth the money? On sale, and you're a Sony guy (I own several over the ear Sony headsets) it's a yes. If you're new to high performance earbuds, go with higher end JBLs. You're not losing much, the software is good, and they sound great for the price. Overall, the Sony's are still a 5, if I did not have the higher end JBLS, I wouldn't be anything to complain about.

I love the big sound in a seamless compact size. They charging case supports wireless charging and they feel very comfortable and snug nicely in the ear. They arent the easiest to put in and take out but once you get used to it, they’re well worth the price. Would definitely recommend. Loved my soundsports before these but like these a little more.

I had their previous generation and love these. Great audio quality. Fast connectivity to different devices. The carrying case for this one is smaller than what I'm used to making me kinda scared of losing it. The case has an interesting gritty texture but overall great audio and great call quality. Fits very comfortable in my ears.

The clear choice if you have the money rn best earbuds you can get noice cancelation is great i did prefer the airpod pro 2 noise cancelation but sound is excellent plus the ability to adjust it the tap feature is good but i prefer airpod 2 controls but the tap you get use to it. Excellent quality and you can charge the earbuds in the case, u get a bit longer use on the go with no power source I also like the fit of the foam tips it has from ssmall to large you'll find your size, they won't easily fall out.

I am a fan of customization and great sound. These earbuds are just that in a small package. They check all of the boxes for todays earbuds. Noise cancelling? Pass through audio? Adjustable EQ? Touch controls? Long battery life? Rechargeable case? Bass that rivals some over the ear headsets? AI driven personal EQ finder? All yes. Worth the investment to me.

My genuine daily drivers, even with an iPhone. I feel they feel and sound much better than apple buds, and some with 3 extra sets of size tips so you can really get a nice feel. Use them for workouts, walks, when I’m shoveling, or when I’m doing projects around the house.

Coming from the Samsung Galaxy Pro 2 Buds - Instantly the sound quality blew me away, and ease of use was the same as the buds on my Samsung Galaxy phone. Battery life, ANC and quality are all amazing. Highly recommend.

They have a great sound quality like unlike any headphones or earbuds i've had especially with wireless headphones which have had issues in the past, long battery life and gracious connectivity only had issues with them like twice with connecting. The only complaint is I wish that they could get louder in volume because I like my music at a loud volume but otherwise they have served good so far.

The sound is perfect. The size of headphones even with the case is not big. But because of the shape of the headphones and the way they are positioned in the case, they are difficult to take out and they can slip out of your hands.

These are by far the best earbuds. Great sound, comfortable fit, and they stay in your ear while being active.

Way more comfortable doesnt fall out much. And music is nice to kisten to. Wish it was a bit louder
