Fit issues – earbuds do not stay securely in ears

Bad bud

My sonys sound amazing during phone calls ,but for music it lacks quality. My bose quiet comfort sound awesome for music, but for phone calls they are the worst buds ive ever used. The issue i have with my sonys is that the left bud dies 1.5 hours before the right one does

Best sounding earbud, charging case issues

Unfortunately, I am on my third pair of earbuds due to the charging case malfunctioning and stops charging. It's been covered under the one-year warranty, but I was hoping it would have been fixed by the second pair. Overall, I love the earbuds. I think the Sony sound quality is unmatched. That's why I'm still here dealing with this on the third pair. It's annoying but not enough for me to want to switch to a lower quality sound system and sound experience. Also hoping third time is the charm.

Mic quality on calls

While the performance is satisfactory, it falls short of being the best, exhibiting an unusual crackling, slight voice muffling, and an unnatural sound quality. They work fine for music, but for daily, extended phone calls, they don't quite measure up. Consequently, I opted to return them and instead invested in the Nothing Ear 2. The latter excels in both sound quality and microphone performance, making it a more favorable choice for my needs.

They sound great on my end and I'm told they sound great to the other party. It takes a moment longer to put them in my ear when I'm receiving a phone call but they have a solid feel and are easy to insert.

Really the only downside would have to be price as they are on the higher end but still in line with the Bose and most others of this caliber.

Not bad, buy not a huge upgrade over the XM4's

Definitely seems like they are a little more refined than the XM4's, but, I'm not sure it's enough of a jump to warrant purchasing these if you already have a perfectly good pair of XM4's to use.

Returned Sony XM5, Bought B&W Pi8

I do use the noise cancellation - I found Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 earbuds much better. With Sony XM5 I could hear my treadmill. With B&W, I cannot hear my treadmill. The Sony XM5 has mediocre sound. I'm not sure why all the rave reviews about they sound great. They sound flat on both high and lows. Not impressed at all. The B&W Pi8 are amazing sounding - as if you are in the room with the band. If you are really picky about sound (and your ears) the B&W Pi8 are simply amazing for a pair of earbuds (totally worth the extra $100.00). When sweating Sony XM5 fall out of my ears way too many times during a 50-minute treadmill routine - they have a rounded body and slip off the ear easily. The foam pads don't help. The B&W Pi8 are well engineered with a bit of a ledge (flat) edge and rest comfortably on the ear cartlidge, this keeps them more in place & secure than the rounded XM5 - and their silicone pads fit securely even when I'm sweating. Get the B&W Pi8 if you can swing it financially. There really is no comparison.

I will say that my ears took awhile to adjust to them, now I don't even notice them in there great, if your looking and can afford just get them I haven't been disappointed yet
