To resolve the video call issue, it's essential to ensure that the appropriate Bluetooth profiles are being utilized. The Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is designed for music playback, while the Hands-free Profile (HFP) and Headset Profile (HSP) are meant for voice calls. If your earbuds are connected via the A2DP profile, you may experience difficulties during voice calls. Please make sure to select either the HFP or HSP profile when using the earbuds for video calls.

Additionally, check the audio settings in your video calling app to confirm that the earbuds are set as the audio input and output device. If the issue continues, consider restarting your phone, resetting the earbuds, or trying a different video calling app to determine whether the problem lies with the earbuds, the app, or the phone itself.

We regret to know that you're not having the best experience with your WF-1000XM5 and you are having issues, particularly with the fit of the unit. Your feedback is extremely important to us and is very much appreciated. If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not properly worn on your ears, tap operations or the speech detection of Speak-to-Chat may not be successful, or you may not obtain proper sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performances. If any of this is the case, we recommend to try the following.

To ensure optimal performance, as well as to obtain the best fit and prevent the headset from falling out, change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. If you feel earbud tips are difficult to put into your ears, change the size of earbud tips or squeeze earbud tips lightly before wearing the headset. When wearing them, gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

We are sorry to hear that the Noise Cancelling feature on your WF-1000XM5 earbuds is activating at inconvenient times, as this is definitely not the intended experience. This behavior is most often caused by the Adaptive Sound Control feature, which automatically changes the Noise Cancelling settings based on your activity (like walking or staying put); we recommend turning this feature off within the Sony | Headphones Connect App for a consistent experience. Additionally, check the app's settings to ensure the Speak-to-Chat function is disabled, as this temporarily pauses Noise Cancelling when you start talking.

You can change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones.
