There is even an EQ in there—which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking. You can edit the volume of the CLEAR BASS. Increasing the CLEAR BASS setting value allows your headphones to reproduce dynamic deep bass without distortion, even at a high volume. I don't know how they do that? The noise canceling is superb The one thing that I would say is that they skimp where the. over the ear part connects to the Upper part that goes over your head. I don't know what that would be called. I could look it up, but I'm not going to waste my time I guess to get it at this price point, they just use plastic and I've had it break twice on me and I'm so glad I got the extended warranty.

Not a keeper for me

Was using AirPods Pro which work very well but sometimes bugs my ears. Back to the Sony headphones… Sound is pretty good, not great. Seems to have some crackle at times. Could be the Bluetooth connection which is also why I’m returning them. They have a really hard time staying connected to our LG OLED C2 which hasn’t been a problem for the AirPods or other buds. Too frustrating. Purchased Bose QC Ultras to try instead. Much more money of course but way better sound and no more connection problems.

Best Noise Cancelling Headphones

Noise cancelling, sound quality, and comfort are better. Bluetooth 5.0 is so fast I don’t see any lip syncing issues when using with my PC or Apple devices. Very satisfied!

Upgraded to gen 4 to gain new features like pairing to 2 devices at the same time, auto pause if you take them off, and upgraded chip. The sound and comfort is amazing. Customizable EQ via Sony app. It was a choice between these and Bose 700. Decided on Sony because of past experience and most reviewers rank them higher than Bose. Plus they are less expensive. The active noise canceling is top notch. Bluetooth connection is rock solid. I haven't had any drop outs even at long distances from source. There is still a little work to be done to improve swipe controls: (not responsive in cold weather, sometimes it takes a couple tries to skip to next song or adjust volume.)
