I was originally looking at the Bose noise cancelling but these are spectacular at almost half the price! The noise cancelling works so efficiently which is my favorite part. The app is also amazing to tweak it to your liking

Good sound quality, ok for calls.

The sound quality is amazing. I bought these for both music and conference calls and I have found microphone is not that great for calls unless it is plugged in. Also, sound cancelling tends to make it difficult to hear your own voice, so I've noticed myself shouting when talking on the phone. Overall, they are great, but for the cost I was hoping for a more versatile head set.

Meaning, I don’t hear surrounding noises when listening with this headphone Cons - Bad mic noise cancellation. Meaning, although the noise cancellation for me is good, the noise cancellation for outgoing signals from mic is bad. If I am in a noisy envt, I will not be disturbed by a single background noise. But the person I am talking to will hear all the background noise. I’d expect such costly headphones to cancel the noise from mic in such a way that the person on the other side will hear only my voice and not the noise in my side of the background.

Make sure to install the latest software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance.
Depending on the surrounding environment, wind noise may increase when the Ambient Sound Mode is turned on. In that case, cancel the voice focus with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. If the wind noise is still significant, turn off the Ambient Sound Mode.
For call quality, re-establish the connection between the headphones and your source device. Select HFP or HSP for the profile. You can also check the settings of the app that you are using for mic sensitivity if available.

If you are looking for just the thump of base, stick with beats. If you want great sound pair it up to a Denon or Onkyo receiver.

They don’t fall of your head and are great for the gym or everyday use also you can’t hear anything with them on and playing music which is great unless you are not into that.

Best over-ear headphones

I use them when working and for taking work calls. The audio is awesome, and people can never tell I am using headphones, which is a plus. There are a ton of things you can do with these that I don't use anymore, but they can be quite helpful.
