Good at their job

Mostly comfortable but for me I start to feel the weight on the top of my head after a while. Also with glasses it's inevitably a bit awkward. I have trouble getting the touch control to reliably play/pause. It's disappointing that the XM3 supported the aptX codec but these XM4 do not. There's a fancy LDAC codec that it supports, but only on Android, and not when you are using the multi-connection feature. Also for the price, it would be nice if you could use them as a USB headset when plugged in (I had a Bluetooth headset that could do that). I also wish the carrying case could fit them with the headband extended, since I have to readjust every time.

I would of gladly paid full price. Noice cancelation is fantastic. I work in a factory. I can easily listen to books without pushing the volume all the way up. At this price point you cant go wrong.

I Can’t Hear You

Obviously, the sound is superb. The tap buttons on the side take some time to get used to but are convenient. The Headphones app provides great customizion. Lastly, the reason to go with this version rather than their latest ($399 headphones) is because these still fold and easily fit in your bag/backpack.

I use these head phones for Webex meeting at work, jamming Death Metal, or sealing out noise while I type up lab reports (sometimes a combination OF all three AT the same time). The bluetooth functionality is great; and so are the controls on the right ear side. And the battery life is PERFECT. Ignore beats and BOSE. Get these. I purchased a pair for the wife and myself.

I bought the XM2 version probably 5 years ago, and they completely changed my relationship with music and headphones. They are on at least 2 hours a day. I thought I'd never buy anything other than sony after that, those headphones are still as good as they were when i got them (I mostly upgraded so i could give them to my daughter, and I just wanted a nice new set). The sound from them is absolutely perfect, and every note comes through. The XM4s aren't complete garbage to be fair, they're just not good enough to replace what Sony was making 5 years ago (or whenever the XM2s were put out). These felt cheap, were uncomfortable, and subtle elements from some of my favorite music just wasn't coming through. I returned them after a week. I genuinely loved my XM2 headphones, and was sad to have to find a different solution outside of Sony.
