I own A LOT of electronics, and these would be near or at top of them all. The sound quality is a 6 out of 5 (clarity and ANC). Call quality is not as great -- mic sounds muffled and the active noise cancellation (ANC) turns off -- but I just have to give these a 5.

Sound good, and comfortable.

Have used mostly via 3.5mm headphone connector. The bluetooth works fine, but the Sony Android app kind of sucks.

Eh could be better

Also the noise cancellation is okay it could be better, I bought them to use them for the gym but even with the noise cancellation I can still here the gym’s music and The weights hitting the floor.

The best noise canceling headphones

I work in a very noisy environment, slip on these headphones, turn the noise canceling on, and I’m loss in a world of pure sound. Sony’s LDAC Bluetooth allows my HiRez music to stream without the the clarity lost by the much lower bitrate of other codecs. (My iPhone can broadcast using the LDAC codec)

Superior noise canceling, great sound. Lots of features but confusing to learn them all and you have to put an app on your device. Also annoying that they try to upcharge you for 360 degree surround sound processing which is pure profit for them

I had beats headphones before but the sound quality wasn’t there. These headphones feel like I’m at a concert. You can control the sound quality on the Sony app which is a great tool. He studied the features of different brands and ultimately chose this one. So far he has been super happy with it. He is in college and studying from home, so a head phone is a must have item. I thought price was too high, but similar products with the similar quality was around same price range. So I stayed with his choice.

Great upgrade from the WH-1000XM2

The tips of my ears would get sore after a couple of hours or so. The XM4 has improved cushioning, fitting a lot better around my ears. The multi-point feature took a bit to set up, but once it was up and running, it was great switching back and forth between my phone and laptop.

Good ANC + sound but uncomfortable

Their main advantage, though is the noise cancelling. The only thing is, they're uncomfortable after wearing them for a little while. I would also not recommend this item if you need to switch smoothly between devices. You have to manually disconnect from the other device before you can use the other.

However they are not the secures headphones if you’re gonna use them for active activities and mine broke after 1 year.
