Very happy with my purchase!

The fit is super comfortable, and don’t make my ears sweat like some other over the hear headphones. The touch and voice-activated operations seem a bit overly sensitive, but I just turned them off through the app until I can figure them out. And love that they came with a great case for travel and protection. Really enjoying them so far!

We understand that the touch and voice-activated controls can be a bit sensitive at first. Many users find it takes a little time to get the hang of the proper gestures for things like skipping tracks and adjusting volume.
Regarding the voice-activated features like "Speak-to-Chat," it's designed to automatically pause your music when it detects your voice, which can be great for quick conversations but sometimes a little too reactive. Disabling it in the Sony | Sound Connect app—which is great that you've already used the app to customize your settings.

Amazing comfy headphones.

Sound-wise they're great, nice rich bass although I would've loved a bit more volume. Noise cancelling in my experience with these is no joke, with the self learning software you will barely hear anything else, with music pumping out or not. Just some occasional hissing while used in pure noise cancelling.

Very easy to use and great battery life. Only complaint goes for all modern wireless headphones. They all need more volume. I know they design them to not damage hearing but I've been listening to loud music for 55yrs and take full responsibility to my hearing.

I came to the conclusion that Sony beat Bose on every element. The features that Sony have are very impressive for the price. They are very comfortable and not heavy at all compared to the competition. I highly recommend this headphones if you are looking for amazing sound, great Bass, amazing noise canceling and great looks!!

Noise cancelling is top of the line and I love how they can connect to two Bluetooth devices at once. I can be listening to YouTube and get a phone call and my computer will automatically pause YouTube for the phone, then automatically resume once I hang up the call. They're also very comfortable. I can wear them all day without any discomfort. Battery life is amazing.

For my taste the base is perfect. Fit is also extremely comfortable for long movies or concerts. There's a learning curve to fully appreciate and try all that they can do. Be patient. Pairs extremely well with my lg V60 phone both wired and wireless. Also pairs well with Samsung Q80T TV. (must download app and follow the instructions!) LOVE auto shut off when you remove them and pick up right where you left off when put back on! Can also be customized to your own ears. Worth the money! You will have these a long time!

Great travel headphones

True audiophiles might pickup issues in the sound profile, but you aren't really getting anything better than these at this price point. Very comfortable overall and have been using it on long haul flights too. The noise cancellation is pretty decent too.

The noise cancellation is impressive, and the additional features (such as muting music and allowing sound through when it detects the wearer is speaking) are so helpful. These work great and hold up over time!

They have amazing sound quality that you can adjust to fit your needs with the app that these absolute gems use. They have a hard shell case unlike there older brother the XM5’s which comes with a soft shell one. They’re very nice and out of the way to carry around and the bass is in your hands because you can adjust it however you want. If you’re on the fence about buying this item and it’s on sale just buy it, you will NOT regret it one bit!

Over the years I have had all sorts of brands including Beats and Sony, mostly on ear versions. Over the ear is clearly better and where these win are with comfort and battery life. The battery is long lasting and the comfort to match. The ability to connect to two bluetooth items is another winning play in my book.

I unfortunately haven’t gone to the gym yet to try them out but I can say these are a bit more technical than I thought. Maybe it’s just me, but the app is weird and I don’t think the sound quality is as good, bass is great and to be able to change the sound quality to what your listening too is cool. They are quaint and cute! I would recommend them, sony has been around for a long time and they make quality products. I recommend these. Battery life is out of this world, I use them off and on for a week each day and everytime I come back it has battery and the Bluetooth is okay, it won’t connect right away which I dislike anddd I can’t use Siri

I own both of them: beats on-ear and Bose around-the-ear headphones. My ears feel a lot more comfortable with the over-the-ear style headphone. I was looking for a new headphone option when I found the Sony WH1000XM4 series. I was instantly captured! The sound is incredible! The noise-canceling feature is perfect, in my opinion. The app you use with this headphone is something else, and so many settings can be used to tweak your sound. I wanted to use these headphones while walking and hiking, but I would not recommend them if you are a person who sweats. The headphone does not like moisture. The instructions that come with the headphones go deeper into the subject. I did it anyway. I will not do it again. I am very satisfied and pleased with my purchase. This is one happy customer!! I love them!

Loving the noise-canceling, sound & battery life

These help to identify eqch scenario and cancel the background noise effevtively. I can do it either via the headphones on the side, or through the easy to use app. I made it through three separate airports with half a battery to spare on a recent trip north. I was also able to walk and talk via my phone with them on too, and had no complaints from the other end about background noise or static. I don’t use these at a PC for gaming since they’re bluetooth/nfc (they’re not meant for high speed gaming!), but they do connect to a pc as well as a tablet very easily, and the music / spoken word sounds great there, too. Good bit of kit for a traveler or wfh type user.

They do a very effective job of reducing/eliminating background noise. They are so effective that when I take them off and you hear the hum of the AC or the whoosh of the air moving, it sounds loud! You get used to the dead quiet very quickly when these are on. It can be so quiet that it may cause some people discomfort, so it's nice that there are adjustments available to allow some amount of ambient noise in. They also pair very easily with multiple devices (I have mine paired with a Mac laptop, a Windows laptop, my phone and an Android tablet). There are tons of reviews on youtube and other places online that go into way more detail that I could in this small area, so check those out, but the take away from all of those other reviews is these are some of the best, if not the best sound cancelling consumer grade headphones. I have to agree with that after testing (and buying) a number of others. I've found these to be pretty comfortable to wear for all day conference calls and the audio quality is great for music and voice. The carrying case is a really important feature for me since it protects the headphones in my backpack when I'm traveling. Overall I'm extremely happy with these and would buy them again if I lost or damaged them.
