The best noise canceling headphones

Somehow they have improved the quality of the sound produced. With the multiple ways to hear ambient sound when needed, this model will stay my favorite. The battery life is also second to none.

I took forever to decide and I looked at a bunch of reviews, and in the end I chose the Sonys. I was leaning towards the Bose and almost got them... My good friend chose the Bose that same day and honestly, it is a matter of preference because they are both great! I chose these because of the little features, like how you can put your right hand over the right earphone, and it pauses and turns off the noise cancelling so that you can hear around you. That feature has come in handy so many times. The noise cancelling is great. Although I like the Bose design and look, these look good too. Just by looking at these headphones, you can tell that you don’t accidentally buy these! I highly recommend.

While I've yet to utilize all functions of this, I can say that what it sells you on (Battery life, ANC - Active Noise Cancelling) and built in assistant (Alexa/Google Assist), it does amazingly well. The promise of dual connectivity will help greatly from the work from home life. Toggling between Videos on one device (laptop) and an incoming phone call (cell phone) is seamless to the point that (dual connectivity) it happens immediately and reverts back to what you were doing. Very impressed but it's not a must, more so a huge bonus. Plus a user like myself who is an active traveler will utilize both the promise of cancelling surrounding noises while enjoying music.

I absolutely love these and it’s noise canceling especially for painting or studying. If my current ones broke I would definitely buy them again despite the price. The battery life is excellent as well. I always forget to charge my devices and then only realize until they are at a low percentage but with these, they last me so long without charging them. I’d say about 2-3 days of use for about 4 hours each day which is how I use them.

She's been raving about the noise cancelling, especially when I'm playing games with my friends because I'm quite literally screaming. She uses it to dance and workout too and they fit perfectly and don't fall out even when she's moving around a lot. Looked up reviews comparing this model to the XM5 and didn't see much of a difference. She just liked the design of the XM4 more

Hype is real!

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When the XM3 came out I had a trip planned for Florida and from Seattle to Florida direct is roughly 6 hr flight. Was looking for headphones that had noise canceling, was stuck between the Bose and XM3. Choose the Bose and was happy. Fast forward, heard the XM4 would have features the previous one lacked and pre ordered and I can say I’m more happy with these than when I got the Bose when I got them. The Sound quality is so much better, and these are more comfortable to my head. The only complaint I have as of this moment is on a rare occasion when I want to hear a voice message on Apple messages the headphones don’t recognize is and won’t swap to that Audio source. I’m looking forward to using these on my upcoming flight in October!

They really do tune out about 95% of ambient noise and I live in quite a busy/loud home. The bass on these is great too and they’re quite comfortable for extended wear.

I was a bit nervous at first after hearing a few comments on a difference in sound signature on the XM4's but have yet to notice any significant change. While the rock solid sound quality remains very similar to the XM3's there is a noticeable improvement in ANC on the XM4's. I have used almost every high end wireless ANC headphone on the market and every time go back to this pair. It's the perfect combination of comfort, quality, and performance at a reasonable price!

They are a lifesaver on flights, the noise cancelling is some of the best on the market, as is the audio quality. The foldability is another benefit, and they are comfortable to wear over long periods of time. I would even say the foldability and wearing comfort make it better than the XM5 model.

The headphones themselves and its inner system is solid, and its sound quality is great. Its also been a bit since i've got them and theres no signs of wear and tear or battery deterioration yet. The only nitpick to make is its accompanying app for your phone, and while it can give you more customization for the headphones, the app is buggy and currently isn't letting me update the headphones software. Regardless, the headphones and its bluetooth, noise canceling, and wired mode are all top notch.

I can have these synced to my laptop while I work but switch over to take a call on my cell with just a double tap on the ear. Comfortable enough and long battery to wear all day. Noise cancellation is great. I even took a nap with them on and it was complete silence lol (I live in NYC by a hospital) Better than Beats by far I think. Programmable features on the app as well is great to customize function. Speak to chat feature is cool too. The AUX port option is great for watching inflight movies during flights because we all know the ones they give out are terrible.

The Best Get Better

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Man, where do I start, I am a Tech Addict and have all the newest headphones out and I have been using the Bose 700’s for months as I have came to realize those were the best available while I waited for Sony to come out with the XM4’s. It was worth the wait. The sound is great, the Bluetooth connection to two devices was much needed as Bose had that as well. I will say that the Bose 700’s are in fact more comfortable and are for sure better for phone calls but sound, looks, battery and the app for the Sony XM4’s have them beat. I still use both but lean towards the Sony’s.

Fantastically packed with features that make it a daily driver for the home office. Even though it has the drawbacks of bluetooth when it comes to sound quality, I barely notice with this headset. Only thing I could pick at is that the inbuilt microphone could be a little better, which might make the ambient sound function more bearable.

Recommend for hyperacusis

The active noise cancelling is great and surprisingly adjustable through the app (which you need to download to use them). I wear these every day and they especially help in places that are loud or have a lot of background noise. They are comfortable and the battery lasts a long time

Great noise cancellation

I connected it to my tv to watch movies with and I felt it was great compared to other Bluetooth headphones. I personally like bass so that’s what separated it from the other headphones I was looking at and I listened to In store. They have an auto noise canceling feature when you put them on. Also, I noticed when I talked, the headphones turned off noise cancellation so I was able to hear everything and have a conversation. After not talking for a few seconds. The noise cancellation turned back on. That was the coolest feature I ever saw.
