Nice noise-cancelling over-the-ear headphones

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these to use during airline travel, to reduce the effects of engine noise when I try to listen to audio, either from airline entertainment, or from a personal device. I have not taken any trips since receiving these, so I don't know how well they will work against the noise of jet engines. I did, however, try listening to a quiet audio recording (Barber's "Adagio for Strings") while sitting next to a running vacuum cleaner. The headphones performed well to dramatically reduce the sounds of the vacuum cleaner. I could turn the headphone noise cancelling off to see what a difference the electronic feature provides -- well beyond the "ear muffs" effect of their over-the-ear design.

The BEST headphones!

(I don’t leave reviews for any product) they are comfortable, actually noise cancelling and just overall great quality. Ever since I bought them, I’ve been using them daily. Great for studying, I got them so could focus on writing my masters thesis. Highly recommend treating yourself with one of these!

Great headphones. Worth it

So good has pretty good bass and you can customize the sound quality through the Sony app. Gets pretty lousy and the touch panel on the right side is responsive. Definitely worth it

Decent headphones for the money, not enough bass

Pricey but I was putting it on my best buy card so it’s cool. Out of the box these don’t sound that great honestly. After watching YouTube reviews and searching Reddit, after playing with the sound levels you can get these to sound really good. Only gripe I have really is there could be some more bass. Even with the bass at max it still seems a little lacking. The touch controls are great and easy to use. I really like the noise cancellation and the fact you can put your hand over one ear and it temporarily turns off noise cancellation is really nice. Overall good headphones that sound great but if you like lots of deep bass you might want to keep looking.

The best headphones for sound

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been heavily using the Bose Quietcomfort ii headphones for 3 years now, but after the ear pads had peeled, I decided to buy a pair of these headphones based on the online reviews that they were actually better. As far as sound and noise cancellation goes, they are! The sound is clearer and more customizable using the Sony app. The only negative with these is that if you wear them for more than 2 hours or so, your ears will start to sweat a little, but it’s not that bad. The Bose is more breathable in this regard, and therefore better suited to long periods of wear if you use them at work or during long travel. But in all other areas, these from Sony are superior.

Kool and comfortable!

I tried a couple of other ones like the Shures...but what I like about these is they can fold up for easy carry to the gym. I use these for the gym and conference calls. I haven't really had to used them in a crowded office obviously, but they seem to do a good job at the gym. I was worried they'd heat up my ears, but no, not really. Sound is really good with soundstaging...I used these with Tidal. I think they were made to work with Tidal's master series. It's a bit expensive but compared to the Bose I had years ago, they are so much clearer. There is more definition and it's a lot less muddy bass.
