Noise Cancelling Headsets

I bought them for the noise cancelling effect, which has been working great so far. After I have been able to connect them to my older TV's and Tablet, I have this,wonderful surround sound effect. Even though I did not plan buying headsets,that pricey, it definitely was a good investment. Highly recommended.

Audio quality is solid and the Bluetooth has been very handy while traveling. Took a little time to get used to compared to open ear. Battery life is a little less than expected with certain settings enabled.

Sony vs Bose

They do have a bit more bass than the Bose headphones but the notes and sound quality itself isn’t as good as the boss headphones. So if you want sounds quality don’t care for base I’d go with Bose. If your a bass head and don’t care much for quality of sound then grab these. They connect well and the app works sometimes with the headphones. But I went bald to the quiet comfort 45 Bose headphones. Just better sounding in my opinion you truly can’t go wrong with Bose they make better products.

Former Bose, new Sony Fan!

Switched to the Sony headphones and couldn't be happier!! All my issues with Bose are nonexistent with the MX 4s. Longer battery, better sound (imo), better functionality with the controls since you have twice the surface area to work with... and the cheaper price is the icing on the cake!

The battery lasts whole time while I was on a 14hr flight. I watched two movies and listened to music while I slept. I recommend this product highly for anybody traveling long distance flights!

Very good headphones

I purchased them when they came out in 2020 after watching a slew of reviews and digging deep into causal audiophile subreddits. This year I had to replace them as they stopped working :( but they were so near and dear to me for almost 6 years. I decided to upgrade to the xm6’s. Used them al most every single day all through college and at my first big girl job too.

To boost the noise canceling on your WH-1000XM4, here are a few simple things you can try:
-Check the Sony | Sound Connect app: Make sure Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. If it's on, the headphones might be switching to "Ambient Sound" mode because they think you're walking or waiting, which lets outside noise in.
-Double check that the ear pads are sitting flush against your head. If there’s even a small gap, the noise canceling won't be able to do its job properly.

Excellent Headphones

I'm not an audiophile or anything like that, though. I mostly just use them while working or while cutting the lawn (noise cancelling works great as ear protection and the music is a bonus). They are very comfortable and they sound great.

The battery lasts plenty of time on a single charge. The sound quality is great, as is the noise canceling feature. The Sony Headphones app is a must for these. They are not for exercising or sports, since they are not water resistant or very tight. Great for commuting and leisure.
