Awesome headphones!

It was jusy time, and I wanted something different. After reviewing the differences between these and the bose quiet comforts, I decided to try these -and I’m glad I did! I would say my favorite aspect of these is the ambient control option -especially mainly using these at the gym, it has been very convenient while talking to people without taking them off. I used to have to hold down the ear buds to turn off the noise cancellation and it got a little annoying, while these did it automatically.

Disappointed Due to Ear Pain

While the audio performance is definitely impressive, I’ve been experiencing consistent ear pain whenever I use the headphones. After wearing them for even a short period, my ears start to feel uncomfortable, and the pressure becomes hard to ignore. I tried adjusting the fit several times, but the discomfort remains, making it difficult to enjoy the music or wear the headphones for longer sessions. Unfortunately, despite their excellent technical features, the lack of comfort has been a major drawback for me. Overall, the Sony WH-1000XM4 may work well for many users, but if you’re sensitive to ear pressure or tight-fitting ear cups, you might face similar discomfort. I’m disappointed because I really wanted to like these headphones, but the ear pain makes it hard to recommend them.

Fantastic headphones

I previously had a pair of Bose, which are also excellent, but in a different way. The Bose have better noise cancelling, but the Sony headphones have better sound for music and are more comfortable to wear for extended periods.

Amazing noise canceling and comfort

I live where there is a lot of construction going on, traffic, and barking dogs. I put these on an instantly it cancels most of the noise, and once I put the music on I can only hear what I put on. They let you connect to two devices at a time, as long as you aren’t using the aux. They will turn themselves off if no music is playing long enough, unless the aux cable is connected. They are really good quality headphones, and the noise canceling is better than I expected. They feel amazing and I can wear them a few hours before they start to feel heavy. The sound quality is also top notch. The main problems are that sometimes it’s difficult to connect to certain Bluetooth devices, and the other problem is the battery will keep draining if you leave the aux cable in. In my opinion the free trial to the service they offer is not worth it, and it was a little difficult cancelling the service, I do not recommend the 3D sound stuff, it doesn’t make much a difference anyway and it’s only a couple hundred songs that offer it.

The sound quality is amazing, and they're extremely comfortable. I wear them while working, for conference calls. They sound good, feel good, and the mic quality is really good too. Great over-ear headphones

Best-in-class ANC

The ANC is the best in the world really - helps so much with my life in the center of a big city. The sound quality is also superb. The only downside is that I cannot really sleep with it on my head, because if i turn to the right side when laying down, the control panel will be activated.

The Travel Endgame

The sound signature is great for casual listening, don't get these for your dedicated listening sessions for audiophiles, this is not your product. However, if you are used to headphones that come bundled with products, these will blow your mind. The sound cancellation is some of the best I have ever heard and the gesture controls are amazing. The one complaint I have is that one audio codex is not accepted, I forget which one, but it means I cannot use these on my TV wirelessly without substantial delay. Get dedicated tv headphones for that purpose. No issue though on iphone or android

Note: This headset supports the following 3 codecs for music playback via an A2DP connection: SBC, AAC, and LDAC.
The audio playback on the headset may be delayed from that on the transmitting device, due to the characteristics of Bluetooth wireless technology. As a result, the sound may not be in sync with the image when viewing movies or playing games. Please check the AV sync settings or any related settings of your TV to minimize the audio delay. Hope this helps!

Dear Headphones: Stop listening to me

My complaint: the xm4 keeps listening to me and pauses the audio every time it thinks I'm talking, such as when I cough or breathe. Please show me how to disable this useless feature!

Best headphones ever.

Very comfortable, easy setup and app has great useful features. On ear feel is amazing as well, the sound quality will blow you away. I just wish apps like Apple Music and Spotify would incorporate 360 sound for the full XM4 experience. Definitely recommend!
