Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i already own the xm2's but was looking for a new pair because they started to hurt my ears. these have angled drivers so it stops the drivers from touching and pressing on your ears. these are way more comfortable b and the noise cancellation is slightly better, but the actually sound of the headphones are pretty much the same

The Range is Amazing!

Last pair developed a rattle and squeal recently, so I needed a new pair. Was frustrated with the terrible range of the Bose (basically disconnected beyond 10 ft) and hated the constant “connected” “disconnected” voice in my head. Was time to try something different. I love my new Sony’s! The range is fantastic. Upstairs, downstairs, outside and they stay connected. No issues with call quality (which was a concern). Customizing the sound in the app is easy. They are comfortable to wear all day and I rarely hear the voice in my head (but it is a pleasant voice when I do!). Glad I made the switch, and they were cheaper too!

I think Bose comes second to this because Sony's sound profile is crispy and dynamic compared to Bose's. One downside is the transparency mode. It's not as good as my AirPods Pros and I can hear the wind through it sometimes.

The best part is the noise canceling. Noise-canceling stops automatically if someone nearby or you start talking. However, one time I was listening to music, and suddenly there was no sound for no apparent reason even though the headset was connected and the music was running on YouTube music. When I disconnected the Bluetooth, I could hear the music playing on my laptop. So I had to restart the headphones and reconnect to the Bluetooth to get it to work again. This only happened once though. Comes with different sets of connectors. Can be used on long flights for noise canceling or watching movies.
