Greatest noise cancelling headphones out there!

I work in a noisy machine shop and this will kill the drone and angry screeching sounds of metal being cut. Helps me concentrate on my work and also tune out my sons video games or youtube at home. Very comfortable and battery life has been great. The EQ with the app along with adaptive listening settings gps tag your locations to dial in correct amount of ambient noise or full noise cancelling depending on how you register the location. For example at work I use full noise cancelling, walking, i set to wind reduction, home some ambient noise depending how loud my son is blasting youtube in the living room. Also has a feature that when you start talking it cuts noise cancelling while you can conversate with someone then it will resume music or movie after you stop talking for a bit or double tap right ear phone to resume play. Have to give a great big thanks to love of my life my wife who bought me these for our 15th anniversary.

Until then, I was exclusively using earbuds/AirPods, etc. I wanted to prioritize immersive sound, but still have a decent internal mic, so that I could use them for work, if needed. When I tested these in-store compared to similar-tiered options for Bose, Beats, JLab, and Skull Candy (which I really took my time with) Sony outperformed them all for overall balanced sound. I was shocked by this because I went in thinking I would be going for Bose. Once I calibrated my purchased pair, they knocked my socks off! I love the sound test that ensures you hear sound in the way that YOU want. When I brought them to the counter, the cashier asked if I had owned a pair before. When I said no, she said I was going to fall in love with them. She wasn’t lying! I plan on wearing these out and then going for a high-performance set, later. I guess I’m a Sony girl from now on. I’d highly recommend these!

Overall solid headphones

Best headphones in their price point

Before buying these headphones, I tried on a similar pair for double the price, the AirPods Max, which had great noise cancellation, decent base, but lacking customization and portability. This is where the Sony headphones triumph over apple, the headphones come with their own app where you can customize the EQ and button functionality. They get regular updates, the comfort makes it so you can wear these for a long period, or until the long lasting battery runs out. Not to mention the traveling case with a plane adapter and pc adapter to use. These headphones are meant to travel with their user without being scared to break the bank for great audio and industry standard noise cancellation.

Flagship for a reason

If you are moving up from other models, you will ALSO be impressed. I own a few models of Sony headphones, and these are the flagship for a reason. Even moving up from the M2 of these was night and day. I also own the WF-1000xm3 earphones, and this is that much better. NC is next level, ambient noise mode is greatly improved, and the comfort is smooth. USB-C charging is a great standard, but the big draw is multi connection bluetooth. I never thought I would use it until I was watching a show on my tablet, and it paused the show and rang through from my cell phone. Seamless. App support is fully there, and even has Sony's "lossless" upscaling format. Battery life seems great so far, and it comes with a semi-hard case. Can be plugged in to 3.5mm wired plug, including a dual prong airplane adapter.

Best headphones ever !

The quality of sound is like no other and the noise cancelling feature works so well that it does make it hard for someone to come up to me and chat while I wear these. You can also adjust the settings on the app it comes with and I have the bass a bit boosted and I love the sound of it so much. The battery lasts forever and I don’t need to charge it that often either. Sony did their big one with this.

Great Sound, Light weight, not easy pairing

They’re comfortably fit around my ears for hours. The main positive is its weight. I really only downside is the controls to pairing and unpairing is difficult.

I had spent $50, $100, and $150 on three different headphones trying to save money on headphones that have noise cancellation and it ended up being a waste of money. None were that good at noise cancellation (including one refurbished Bose comfort set). I decided to just invest in more expensive ones and read the great reviews of this one. This one is the winner for sure! They look good, they sound good, they are comfortable, and they seem like they will last me forever. Best Buy was also super fast in getting these to me (I ordered these at night and literally had them on my head by the next morning).

The sound quality is superb. But perhaps most amazing is the sound-canceling feture. With the headset on, I hear very little other than the music playing. I would buy this item again.
