My main purpose, in buying these headphones, was to get excellent sound quality in a wireless setting. These certainly provide that. The noise cancelling is very good as well. The headphones are also very comfortable and reasonably light, comparable to my wired headphones. Battery life is quite amazing- I can go 1-2 weeks without charging. It appears well made, with a quality feel (esthetically not super exciting, but that is OK) The 360 audio feature is nice, but I am perfectly satisfied without it- limited to a few sources (like Tidal, with premium level subscription), and not worth it for me. Movies sound great. Highly recommended.

These headphones are amazing. They bring tracks that I have listened to countless times to life and shine a light on details that I never noticed before. That may sound poetic lol but it’s true! They’re very comfortable, although my ears get a little warm while wearing them inside where there’s air conditioning. However, these are my first over-the-ear headphones and maybe that’s the way it is with all of them? Call quality is not very good so if that’s very important to you I would consider other options. The app interface and customizable settings are great, and so is the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously. Highly recommend.

Great audio and excellent bass performance and long lasting battery so I can listen to my music all day long. It’s a comfortable fit and no irritation want so ever. The noise cancelation does not cease to amaze me it’s as if I’m in my own world, just me and my music. Over all these headphones have elevated my music experience and was an excellent purchase.

The noise cancellation is very good, I enjoy using them at the gym or when running. It’s super easy to get them connected to your phone and works flawlessly

These have been great. Reliable, comfy, and good sound -- perhaps not audiophile quality but perfect for basically anyone else. The comfort is the most important thing for me, since I work a desk job and game. These are supremely comfy even for 2 or 3 hour meetings, and the battery lasts a long time and recharges very quickly. The software support is acceptable (although clunky) but the defaults out of the box are fine.

These are much better than the ult wear if anyone is wondering, Ult wear’s are not good. I purchased both and returned the ults immediately and kept the xm4’s. for $200 or even $150 I can’t recommend the ult. Xm4’s are clean and clear in all areas and similar bass as the ult. The old sony xb900n are vastly better than the ult in everyway, new is not always better for the ULT. XM4’s for gaming it’s surprisingly very good. Clean bass and soundstage is good for closed back, some gsmes im finding myself hearing new sounds and shocked out good they are for gaming. As Someone who games with the audeze maxwell headphone ($300) the xm4 are better than maxwells when gaming wired to a controller. (Consoles) very impressed and on sale for $200 its a great buy. These will stay in the collection

I love these headphones. They have an excellent noise canceling feature and the music sound like you are at a concert. They are quite comfortable and am able to wear them for a couple hours straight. The app is an excellent companion to the headphones although you don't need it to use them. Deep bass and very clear vocals. They are also really good for audiobooks or podcasts. The phone call quality it great with the noise canceling so that all you hear is the person you are talking to without a bunch of background noise. I would recommend these headphones for sure.

The Sony headphones are just what I needed. I travel a lot by air and the ANC feature blocks out nearly all the ambient sounds without having to turn the volume way up. The sound quality is full and rich even at low volumes making relaxing very easy. The battery life is good. I don’t have to worry about charging often seeing that a 3 hour usage still left me with over 90% of battery life remaining.

Very good audio quality. Good battery life. Noise canceling eliminates everything but voices but reduces voice volume considerably. It it is so good at canceling everything else that I think this is intentional. There may be a setting that changes this. When music is playing you can only hear music. Headset is very comfortable. App is easy enough to use. I had it running with headphones in 5-10 minutes. Feature that detects when headset is removed and pauses playback is accurate. Touch panel controls on headset work well. Like using a smartphone, you just have to learn what motions do what.

These are so much better than I had anticipated and hoped! I used them for a flight to Australia from the US (New York) and it was the best decision I made. They are lightweight, easy to set up with a phone or iPad, came with cables to plug into the plane seats so I could enjoy movies with my own headphones, and just overall have great sound quality and noise canceling. I honestly don’t think I could have made it through the long-haul flight without these headphones. When I took them off to talk with my partner, it was night and day in terms of noise. I was incredibly surprised with the noise canceling qualities and before coming back my partner bought a pair of headphones as well. The only downside, for me, is that they are slightly loose since my head seems to be a bit too small (I don’t have the top band resting tightly on my head if I want perfect placement for the ear cups) but overall, that is something I could look past since I don’t plan to do anything incredibly physical with them on.

Really happy with these headphones. Sound quality is great and you can adjust the eq levels in the app. Battery life is surprisingly long lasting. I used this off and on (mostly on) a 12-hour flight without recharging. It is comfortable and convenient to carry around! I recommend these headphones!

Incredible sounding headphones. I upgraded to these from the WH1000XM2's, which were still going strong but the earpads were falling apart and I couldn't find replacements for them. Definite improvements over the XM2's - better comfort, better noise canceling, better battery life. Don't pay full price for these, when they go on sale, they *really* go on sale and you can get a significant discount. I chose these over the XM5's because of the fold-up design.

These have the best active noise canceling on the market - just completely obliterates any kind of noise to a muffled whisper. The tuning is a very average V-shaped response, with a huge amount of bass, but surprisingly enough I don't entirely hate it here. The strong bass helps cancel out the low frequency rumbles of engines and cars on commutes, and hey - who doesn't like heavy bass now and again? The battery life is very good as well for prolonged use, and I could squeeze out 2 12 hour days with them before I felt even an inkling that I should recharge them. Still, price remains contentious in a world where headphones and audio tech in general is becoming increasingly more competitive. I bought them on sale and I feel that it was a reasonable tradeoff.

I love how much battery the headphones have as they have lasted a few days for me without ahh additional charges. It also only takes 10 minutes to charge and it is comfortable and the soun quality is good. It also stays on while I am jogging which is a highlight of the headphones for me. Overall a really great headphone and I definitely got my moneys worth.

This is a review after 6 months of use. Excellent pair of headphones. Setup is very easy. Can connect to 2 devices simultaneously. Noise Cancelling is very good. The sound is clear. The bass is deep. Used the headphone for meetings and phones calls and there are no complaints about the voice clarity. The headphones are comfortable for long use. My ears don't hurt as the over-the-ear earcups are big enough to go around my big ears. the cushioning on the earcups is soft. The cushion on the headband is also is good so it does not feel like the headphones are pushing down on my head. The case that the headphones come with offer nice protection when stuffed in a crowded back pack. Highly recommended. A very compelling buy if the available in a sale if people don't want break the bank on Bose 700 or AirPods Max.

I decided to take a chance with these. I didn't know what to expect with the XM4 being the first pair of Hi-Res audio headphones I've ever owned. Wow! The sounds quality is nothing short of industry leading and surrounds you most of the time. It really is some amazing work done by Sony with these. Noise canceling works great, the battery life is crazy good, and they fit my head and remain comfortable for hours on end! Using the Sony Music Center app to adjust the EQ is a top feature as well that shouldn't be overlooked. Don't hesitate to purchase these!

My last headphones were fake "refurbished" Beats earbuds from Wish that I bought 4 years ago. So preface, my bar was probably pretty low. The battery life and audio quality are awesome. I've been enjoying going back through my music and am really noticing the difference that comes with quality. Also, I use it as a gaming headset and works just fine for that as well. I tried the XM5s in store and although there was a slight improvement in audio and fit, it was not enough to justify the extra money and larger size. As a big-eared individual, the headphones do get uncomfortable after a couple hours. But that's a me problem as all headphones do that and after that long of a time, I should take a break to not worsen my tinnitus.

I love these headphones. They have probably the best noise canceling you’ll ever have. Great speaker quality they are amazing. I’ve had the previous generation and they’re all so just as great. Only thing I kinda don’t like is the sensor other than that it’s amazing I love. It’s also really comfortable.
